Base Class: Sorcerer
You are capable of temporarily obtaining a level of magical ability beyond anything other mortals could even dream of, but are you prepared to pay the price for wielding the divine might of the Kitsune as a mere mortal?
Kitsune Magic
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Kitsune Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an enchantment or Illusion spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 1st | Color Spray, Hideous Laughter |
| 3rd | Crown of Madness, Mirror Image |
| 5th | Fast Friends, Hypnotic Pattern |
| 7th | Confusion, Greater Invisibility |
| 9th | Mislead, Modify Memory |
Kitsune Form
You can assume the form of a Kitsune to channel their powers better. As a bonus action you can assume the form of a Kitsune for 1 minute, gaining a fox's ears and a number of fox tails equal to half your sorcerer level (minimum 1, maximum 9). While in this form your spell save DC increases by 2 and when a creature you can see within 60 feet of you succeeds on a saving throw against one of your spells you may use your reaction and expend one of your tails to force them to reroll their saving throw. If you expend all of your tails, your Kitsune form immediately ends. When your Kitsune form ends you take necrotic damage equal to your character level. This damage can't be reduced or prevented in any way. Once you use this ability you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
Wellspring of Power
Your Kitsune blood allows you to unleash spells that bypass that normal limitations of magic. You may now cast more than one non-cantrip spell on your turn, however when you do so you take necrotic damage equal to the level of any spell you cast after your first spell. This damage cannot be reduced or prevented in any way.
Divine Mind
Your connection to the divine Kitsune empowers your mind beyond what other mortals can hope to achieve. You may now hold concentration on two spells at once however you take necrotic damage equal to the level of the higher level concentration spell at the start of your turn while doing so. This damage does not cause you to make a constitution saving throw to maintain concentration and cannot be reduced or prevented in any way.
Foxfire Resonance
Your Kitsune blood now resonates with the power of the Kitsune through the fabric of the Weave itself. You may now upcast spells as though using a higher level spell slot to increase their effect without expending a higher level spell slot, however doing so causes you to take 10 necrotic damage per level that the spell's effect was increased by. This damage cannot be reduced or prevented by any means.
