It is 5 minutes to midnight and A.S. is moving about Grey Holm Manor. He goes into his study and pulls out a box, it looks simple enough, a flat wooden box on all sides with a faint shine on top. He pulls out an eyepiece with a green lens and the top of the box seems to disappear as he can now see into the box, through a series of mundane puzzles he is able to find a keyhole inside and pulls it to the top, when he takes the lens off the wooden top reappears, but this time with a keyhole. A.S. pulls a key off of his keychain and fits it in, turning it. A series of mechanisms can be heard and the box starts to open, revealing a small spherical container, inside it a black substance that seems to give off no amount of energy, and yet is also powering its own containment. The halfway mark on the sphere has a belt with many runes on it, seemingly holding the orb together. A.S. grabs the orb and a door with sprawling tentacles opens a black void that seems to be sucking air into it. He goes through the door and finds himself in Big Ben, hundreds of miles from Grey Holm as the clock strikes midnight, the bells loud and ringing in his ears as he quickly moves down and out of the tower to the fresh London air.

Expanded Spell List

The Craftsman subclass lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Eldritch Eyepiece

Starting at 1st level, your connection to The Craftsman grants you the power of the eyepiece. It is a magical piece of equipment that appears only when you need it. It is about the size of your hand and can be adjusted to different levels, one being able to see invisible objects or people, and the second level being able to see into the ethereal plane. This eyepiece upgrades at the 6th, 10th, and 14th levels.

Puzzle Master

You are a master at puzzles, granting you expertise in investigation.

Null Transfer

At 6th level, you learn to use the null for your own purposes to transport you across a large area. You can use the spell dimension door with infinite range and acts like the spell teleport and a doorway will appear to the location you want to go to, only one person can pass through this door before it closes.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Your eyepiece has a 3rd level, you can now cast "True Seeing" at will.

Null Space

Starting at the 10th level, you can create your own puzzle box that is magically sealed and cannot be opened by magical means. It can hold up to 64 cubic feet and cannot exceed 500 pounds. A person trying to open the the box must succeed on three consecutive intelligence checks against your spell save modifier. The items exist in the far realms and are unobtainable except from this box. You may use the eyepiece to create a puzzle that can only be solved by another eye piece or through True Sight.

Your eyepiece can now be used to transfer yourself into locks to solve a small puzzle to unlock the mechanism. You body is completely transported into the space, creating a pocket dimension inside the locking mechanism.

Summon Null

At 14th level, you gain the ability to summon the full power of the null and make one of three effects.

  • You may use the null to summon an aberration of challenge rating equal to half your warlock level and below.
  • You may use the null to transport up to 50 creatures to Grey Holm Manor in the far realms. Creatures that resist must make an intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC.
  • You may use the null to create an anti-magic field that removes all magical effects except for your own.

Your eye piece can now transport you into the Grey Holm Manor from anywhere, creating a door of pure void and black tentacles that spread out. You now own Grey Holm Manor.

Grey Holm Manor

  • Altar: This room is at the center of the Grey Holm Manor. It is ringed by a number of doorways. You can store your puzzle box on the central altar to be accessed from everywhere. In order for another creature to remove the box from the center, they must use a piece of the null element.
  • Study: The study contains a desk and a clock. It also contains a bookshelf. The study can be used to create a portal to the Pyre.
  • Library: In the Library are Maggy's machine and Simon's folding theater. There is also a music playing device and a lectern which reveals the elevator to the Attic. Maggy's machine can be used to obtain one portent once per long rest. Simon's folding theater can be used to make a secret workshop as it is enterable with the eye piece.
  • Cellar: The cellar has some breaker boxes and a set of filing drawers. This controls all of the electronics and lights in the manor. They are all automatic. The filing drawers have maintenance tools.
  • Conservatory: There are two rooms to the Conservatory. Important features include an overgrown tree, and some strange contraptions, including a music playback device. You can make an indestructible object of any elementary shape using the strange contraptions. You can use the object's connection to the null to give yourself advantage on investigation checks. The overgrown tree can be used as a secret storage area as it is enterable with the eye piece. The conservatory acts as the main workshop. You can use the object's connection to the null to give yourself advantage on investigation checks.
  • Attic: The attic is only accessible through the elevator on the ground floor of the library. The elevator is revealed when a particular book is placed on a lectern in the wall, which moves aside to reveal it. The attic is the area above the Altar and holds a large automatic beam weapon used for defending the mansion against eldritch beings.
  • Pyre: A tower that represents the inside of the puzzle box, all of your stored items can be seen and interacted inside the tower/box. You can store yourself into the box.
