Base Class: Rogue
One doesn't always spend their time in dark corners waiting to lash out at others. Some individuals specialize and focus their abilities on skills and spells to give them an edge in the world vs magic and monsters. Jack of all trades and specialists in none, the Dilettante has the ability to rise above their station due to their set of unique skills and spells.
Spellcasting
When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast a minimum amount of spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the wizard spell list.
Cantrips
You learn three cantrips of your choice from any class spell list. You learn another cantrip of your choice at 7th level and 13th level.
Spells
You learn three spells of first level from any class' spell list. You can cast these spells once a day. You gain additional spells at increasing spell levels at levels 7, 13 and 19 each of which you can cast once a day. They can be from any school of magic.
You also gain access to a spell book in which you can cast spells tagged as a ritual as long as you have the spellbook on hand. You must select a specific class for your ritual spells.
If you come across a spell in written form, such as a magical spell scroll or a wizard's spell book, you might be able to add it to your ritual book. The spell must be on the class you chose for rituals, the spell's level can be no higher than half your level (rounded up), and it must have the ritual tag. The process of copying the spell into your ritual book takes 2 hours per level of the spell, and costs 50 gp per level. The cost represents the material components you expend as you experiment with the spell to master it, as well as the fine inks you need to record it.
Spellcasting Ability
Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your spells, since you learn your spells through dedicated study and memorization. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier
