Channel Lament

As a Lament paladin, your connection to sorrow empowers your strikes. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can choose to channel your empathy into your blow. If you do, the target takes an extra 1d6 psychic damage.

This damage increases to 2d6 at 5th level, 3d6 at 11th level, and 4d6 at 17th level. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses after finishing a long rest.

Sorrow's Shield

At 7th level, As an action, you can reach out to touch an ally within 30 feet who is suffering. Roll 2d6, and the target gains temporary hit points equal to the result + your Charisma modifier. Additionally, the affected ally gains advantage on saving throws against being frightened until the end of their next turn.

Tranquil Resonance

At 15th level, your connection to lamentation grows stronger. You can spend an action to create an aura of tranquility and reflection that extends in a 30-foot radius around you. While this aura is active, all creatures of your choice within it gain advantage on Wisdom saving throws to resist fear, charm, or mind-altering effects.

Additionally, once per long rest, you can use a bonus action to allow a creature within the aura to reroll a failed saving throw against such an effect. This feature reflects your character's ability to bring calm and clarity to the hearts of those who are afflicted by despair or malevolent influences.

Harbinger of Desolation

Desolation's Aura: Your aura of desolation extends in a radius around you (e.g., 30 feet). Within this aura, you and your allies gain the following benefits:

  • Sacrificial Resonance: Once per long rest, as an action, you can channel the power of your aura to take upon yourself all negative conditions and afflictions currently affecting your allies within the aura. You bear their suffering willingly, offering them a fresh start while enduring their pain.

  • Eternal Fortitude: You radiate an aura that bolsters the spirits of your allies, providing them with temporary hit points equal to your Paladin level at the start of each of their turns. Additionally, enemies within this aura suffer penalties to their attacks and saving throws, reflecting the weakening of their resolve in the face of your unwavering dedication to the Oath of Lament.
