Base Class: Monk
By taking in or being subjected to corruption you have gained a sort of power over it that allows you to use it to your will. Most would call this foolish and dangerous however ultimately it is up to you whether you conquer it or succumb to its dark whispers
This subclass is about applying debuffs and delayed tick damage. As well as giving you or your party buffs.
The nature of your corruption, its form and look can be decided by you and your dm. Whether it be shadows or some sort of flesh based disease or even a cures of living flames is up to your imagination and creativity
This subclass introduces a new type of dmg called corruption dmg this dmg type is resisted by things that are not organic in nature(some examples being constructs elementals and spirits) and celestial entities are immune to it
corrupting strikes
At 3rd lvl you gain the ability to infuse corruption into your strikes, when making an unarmed strike you can spend 1ki points to apply a stack of corruption
When someone has 2 stack of corruption on them they get disadvantage to attacks made and -1 to stat based saving throws per stack.
You can apply a maximum of 5 stacks per target 1 stack will decay and disappear at the end of there turn when a stack decays they take corruption dmg = to the monks level
Healing spells of radiant nature can be used to cleanse stacks faster and with no extra damage. Spells of 1-3 cleanse 1 stack 4-6 cleanses 2 stacks. And any spells of a higher lvl can completely cleans a creature of there stacks.
cognitive disruption
6th cognitive disruption:tapping into your ability to control corruption you gain the ability to exert your will onto those affected by your corruption.
Upon a target with 3 or more stacks of corruption making an attack at the monk. The monk can impose a wisdom contest by spending 3 ki points whoever is higher wins.
If the monk wins then they can redirect the attack to another creature within the attack's range or if there are none they can just have the attack miss.
The monk only uses 1ki point if they lose the wisdom check. This ability only works in ether single target saving throw based attacks or roll to hit based attacks
organic manipulation
11th lvl organic manipulation: you gain the ability to corrupt creatures and yourself to a greater extent.
You can infuse corruption into a corpse during a long rest.
The corps must be of a Cr=¼ —>5 or lower. And must not be immune or resistant to corruption dmg.
When you do this the creature is reanimated and has the same actions as when it was alive but it can no longer can’t level up or gain new class features if able and their wisdom and intelligence score are reduced to 5 unless they were lower in which case they stay lower and cannot be raised.
They lose any spell casting and any non innate arcane magic their health is reduced to 8d6+monks con mod unless it was lower in which case it stays lower.
They will listen to the monk's commands and during combat they take their turn directly after the monk.
The corrupted creature is changed in some way choose one of the following options when corrupting them
1. Gain a corruption breath range 10foot cone dex save dc 10+monk wis mod+prof dmg=8d6 half as much on a successful save. Can be used as an action. Has a cooldown of 30 minutes
2. Gain a flying swimming walking or burrowing speed of half the creature’s base movement speed.
3. Gain a melee or ranged(max range= half your maximum movement speed) natural weapon that deals the monk’s current unarmed strike dmg dicex2 your choice of slashing, bludgeoning, pricing, poison or acid, and extra (monk lvl) corruption dmg. This can be used in place of a weapon attack but not unarmed strikes
4. Gain the ability to attempt to grapple creatures within 10 feet of you and grappled creature are restrained and can be moved around by the monk spending some of their movement as long as they are not more then one size larger then you as an action
5. Add 3d4 temp hit points that regenerate after 3 rounds of them being depleted or 30 seconds outside of combat. This can bring someone back from being unconscious but cannot save someone who is already dead
The monk can have up to 3 corrupted creatures at a time or instead of corrupting a creature they can use this ability to apply a corrupted aspect to themselves or a willing target up to 3 times in total.
You can replace a corrupted creature or aspect during a long rest once a day.
You can see, hear and speak(if possible) through the creature and they are under your control and follow your command
If a creature who you have given a corrupted aspect to is intelligent and doesn’t wish to follow your command then they can make an opposed Wisdom save against you to try and defi the command and may try again every hour they’ve been carrying the command out.
If you are not near them or haven’t given them a command then they will return to their normal behavior until you give them a command.
Additionally applying stacks of corruption no longer costs ki points
corrupt ecosystem
17th lvl corrupt ecosystem: you can corrupt the terrain around you within a 60 foot sphere.
Creatures you choose move through this terrain as if it were difficult terrain.
You can force any creature within your train to make a straight saving throw dc=10+wis mod+prof or be restrained as a bonus action And you can make an attack on anything within the 60ft zone this attack has a prof+wis mod to hit and dose 7d8 corruption dmg.
You can also sense anything that walks on or is within your 60 foot zone.
This costs 8 ki points and can be used 3 times Per long rest. You can only have one of these zones up at a time. The zone lasts for 5 rounds in combat or 30 minutes outside of combat.
If your dm allows you can set one permanent zone that doesn’t count as one of your uses.
you cannot move it and you must spend 1 hour setting it up.
to change location or make another one your old permanent zone will Cease to be and will return to how it was before you set it up.
you can set a permanent zone once a week. Additionally if your character dies you can come back to life at your permanent zone respawning from the ground without any of your equipment or items.your old body is destroyed in some way (talk to your dm) exp it shrivels disappears into dust or decays all your items and equipment are left behind. You can do this once per long rest
