Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A formidable entity, once brimming with power, now lies vanquished. Yet, in a desperate attempt to endure or thwart its pursuer, the creature seeks solace within your very being. Over time, it draws sustenance from your inner fury, rekindling its former might and gifting you with profound arcane talents.

As a Barbarian of the Path of the Kindred Spirit, you become the vessel for this entity's resurgence, forming a unique bond that empowers you with extraordinary mystical prowess.

My Other Half

At 3rd level, a magical creature of some kind has become bonded to you. This can either be a creature of immense power who, while injured, took refuge within your soul, or somehow your soul itself has been split from your being.

You learn the Find Familiar spell, and can cast it as a ritual. When you cast this spell, the familiar takes the form of a Tiny version of the creature that has bonded to you, but otherwise uses the statistics of your choice of creature normally granted by the spell.

Magical Fury

Also at 3rd level, you can release the immense energy of your other half when you rage.

When you take the Attack action while you are Raging, you can replace one attack you make with a short blast of magical energy. You can only make this special attack once per turn.

The blast is a ranged spell attack with a range of 30 ft., you are proficient with this attack, and you use your Constitution modifier for any attack roll you make with it. On a hit, you deal 1d10 damage of one of the following types of your choice: radiant, necrotic, fire, cold, or lightning. You choose the damage type when you gain access to this feature, and can change the damage type whenever you finish a long rest.

This attack can benefit from your Reckless Attack feature, and adds your Rage Damage Bonus.

Magical Incantations

Lastly, at 3rd level, the fusion with your other half grants you some control over its magical abilities.

As an action, you can begin speaking a magical incantation. While speaking this incantation, you can act as normal as long as you are able to speak, up to 1 hour. If you take damage, you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw to maintain concentration (as if concentrating on a spell), or the incantation ends. You can use these incantations a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier, and regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Some of your incantations require a saving throw. The formula to calculate the saving throw DC of an incantation is as follows:

Incantation Save DC = 8 + your Proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

You know a number of incantations equal to your proficiency bonus. Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can change which incantations you know.

Incantation of Bravery

While you speak this incantation, you and your allies within 10 ft. of you have advantage on saving throws they make against being Charmed or Frightened.

Incantation of Desire

Prerequisite: 17th Level

When you speak this incantation, you summon up the full power of your other half, and ask for a boon. When you speak this incantation for 10 minutes, you cast the Wish spell. You use your Charisma modifier as your spellcasting ability for this spell. After you cast this spell, you receive magical backlash - you immediately fall to 0 hit points and are dying, and you make Death Saving Throws with disadvantage until you finish 2d4 long rests. You cannot use this incantation again until you finish those long rests.

Incantation of Flames

While you speak this incantation, creatures of your choice who move within 10 ft. of you  for the first time on its turn or end their turn within 10 ft. of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 1d6 fire damage.

Incantation of Fury

While you speak this incantation, you lose yourself to your fury, unleashing an oppressive dark aura. When you use your Magical Fury feature's blast attack, you can add your proficiency bonus to the damage roll of that attack.

Incantation of Growth

While you speak this incantation, your familiar from your My Other Self feature grows into a more powerful form to aid you.

Your familiar uses the statistics of a Beast of CR 2 or lower. When you reach 14th level, you can instead choose the statistics of a Beast of CR 5 or lower.

Incantation of Heart

When you speak this incantation, you can choose a number of willing creatures that can hear you up to your Charisma modifier - those creatures gain a number of temporary hit points equal to 1d8 + half your Barbarian level (rounded down). This incantation ends after the action used to speak it.

Incantation of Lightning

Prerequisite: 6th Level

When you begin speaking this incantation, you summon down heavenly lightning bolts to strike down your enemies. At the end of each of your turns, choose a creature within 30 ft. of you - that creature must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 lightning damage.

Incantation of Power

Prerequisite: 10th Level

While speaking this incantation, you can choose a number of willing creatures that can hear you equal to your Constitution modifier. Those allies can add your Strength modifier to the damage roll of the first attack they make on their turn.

Incantation of Speed

Prerequisite: 10th Level

While you speak this incantation, you accelerate beyond normal means. You can make one additional attack as a bonus action on your turn.

Incantation of Swiftness

While speaking this incantation, you can use the Dash action as a bonus action. Moreover, you and creatures who start their turn within 10 ft. of you have their walking speed increase by 10 ft. until the end of their turn.

Incantation of The Avatar

Prerequisite: 14th Level

While you speak this incantation, you become surrounded by magical energy in the shape of your desire, and gain the following benefits:

  • You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
  • When you hit a creature with a melee attack, that creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked Prone.
  • Your Magical Fury feature's blast attack now affects each creature within 5 ft. of the attack's target - each creature within 5 ft. of the attack's target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take damage from your Magical Fury equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Incantation of Wings

Prerequisite: 6th Level

While you speak this incantation, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed.

Hope's Beacon

At 6th level, you gain greater control over your magic.

While you are Raging, you shed bright light in a 10 ft. radius, and dim light for an additional 10 ft. beyond that. In addition while you Rage, you gain resistance to your chosen damage type from your Magical Fury feature.

Enchanted Heart

At 10th level, your power and majesty invigorates your allies.

While you are Raging, creatures of your choice within 15 ft. of you have advantage on Strength checks. Moreover, you can use the Help action as a bonus action for the duration of your Rage.

Shining One

At 14th level, your magical fury has reached its apex. While you speak an incantation, you reduce damage from damage types you resist by an amount equal to your Proficiency bonus.

You can also bolster yourself against oncoming effects - when you are subjected to a saving throw with which you are proficient, you can choose to succeed on the saving throw instead. Once you succeed on a saving throw in this way, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
