Druid
Base Class: Druid

A druid who focuses on the power to lighting.

Avatar of Lightning

At 2nd level, you gain the ability to transform into an avatar of lightning. As an action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to transfrom, rather than transforming into a beast form. While this feature is active, you gain the following benefits:

• Crackle: You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 120 feet. Its damage is lightning, and its damage die is 1d10. You are proficient with it, and you add your Wisdom modifier to its attack and damage rolls. This die changes as you gain Druid levels by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10).
• Static: When a creature you can see moves into a space within 5 feet of you, starts its turn there or hits you with an attack within this range, you can use your reaction to deal lightning damage equal to your Druid level to that creature. The range increases to 10 at 6th level, 15 at 10th level, and 20 feet at 14th level.

These benefits last for 5 minutes, until use an action to revert to your original form, or until you use your Wild Shape again.

Circle Spells

Your connection to the storm grants the ability to cast certain spells. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Lightning spells table.

Once you gain access one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.
