Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Void is a means to an end. When Zenobia found itself on the brink of destruction, they found a way. That way would be unthinkable to most, but to those desperate enough, the tenets of the Void are justified. Faced with destruction or salvation, your qualms cannot impede you.
Paladins who follow the Oath of the Void have looked deep into the endless darkness. That darkness was staring back. What you sacrificed when staring into that dark pit is unique to each individual, but each who do find themselves changed forever. Whatever it takes to defeat that which would destroy everything you've ever known. So Paladin, What is your sacrifice?
Tenets of the Void
Survival through any means. All available tactics are open for the desired end. Right and wrong are determined by the consequence of those actions.
Do not be afraid to stare into the void. You've faced threats unimaginable to most. Fear is to be embraced and conquered, not succumbed to.
Knowledge is key. The battle is ever changing and flowing, and knowledge of how to wage war against that which would get in your way will be all the difference.
Death is not the end, it is only the beginning. Death is inevitable, simply another part of life. The duty to combat the endless terrors of the world does not end with that death.

Channel Divinity
An Oath of the Void paladin of 3rd level or higher gains the following two Channel Divinity options.
Control Undead. As an action, the paladin targets one undead creature he or she can see within 30 feet of him or her. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target must obey the paladin’s commands for the next 24 hours, or until the paladin uses this Channel Divinity option again. An undead whose challenge rating is equal to or greater than the paladin’s level is immune to this effect.
Peer into the Void. As an action, the paladin uses their Channel Divinity to bring forth the darkest depths of which they call home. Each creature of the paladin’s choice within 30 feet of the paladin must make a Wisdom saving throw if it can see the paladin. On a failed save, the target is frightened of the paladin for 1 minute. A creature frightened by this effect can attempt to repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Aura of Null
Starting at 7th level, your connection to the void spreads to those around you. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet gain resistance to cold and necrotic damage, and can see through magical darkness to a range of 10 feet.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet. The ability to see through magical darkness also increases to 30 feet.
Deep into that Darkness Peering
At 15th level, the void wrought by the paladin grows ever stronger, causing creatures to freeze from fear and lose their ability to think within your presence. Peer into the Void causes creatures effected by it to have a speed of 0. If a creature attempts to make a saving throw to end the effect of Peer into the Void, you can use your reaction to make an attack against that creature if it is within range.
The Unknown
The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown. At 20th level, your entire self manifests as the void. As an action, you are able to perform the following feature for 1 minute:
- Darkness spills from your very soul. The effect is the same as the darkness spell, centered on yourself, with a range of 30 feet.
- Whenever an enemy creature enters the darkness, or starts its turn there during battle, it takes 10 necrotic damage.
- Enemy creatures within the darkness are considered to be moving through difficult terrain.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
