Base Class: Bard
Bards of the College of the Union draw inspiration from the struggles and triumphs of workers and their unions. They have a deep understanding of the power of collective action and use their music and words to rally others, boost morale, and shame those who would exploit the weak. These bards often find themselves at the forefront of social movements, using their songs to call for change and equality.
Carrying The Banner
When you join the College of the Union at 3rd level, you learn how to tap into the collective spirit of your allies. As a bonus action, you can expend one Hit Die to grant all allies within 30 feet of you temporary hit points. The amount of temporary hit points is equal to your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier + an additional point for each ally within range. These temporary hit points last for 10 minutes.
Union Chant
At 3rd level, you learn chants that draw power from collective voices. As an action, you can start a Union's Chant. All allies within 30 feet gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed. For each ally participating in the chant (up to a maximum of 5), enemies within the same 30-foot radius take a cumulative -1 penalty to their attack rolls against your allies (up to a maximum of -5). This effect lasts as long as you maintain the chant, up to a maximum of 1 minute. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of once), and you regain expended uses after a long rest.
Shame The Scab
Starting at 6th level, your words carry the weight of collective disapproval. As an action, you can target one creature you can see within 60 feet. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Bard spell save DC. On a failed save, the target is frightened of you and all your allies for 1 minute. For every ally within 30 feet of you (up to a maximum of 5), the DC for this save increases by 1. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Collective Harmony
By 14th level, the bond you share with your allies is palpable. When you use your Bardic Inspiration to grant an ally a Bardic Inspiration die, if there are two or more allies (including the original target) within 30 feet of you, you can choose one of them to also receive a Bardic Inspiration die, without expending an additional use of your Bardic Inspiration. The second ally must be able to see or hear you. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
