Monk
Base Class: Monk

The core of The Way if the Intercepting Fist is the interception of the opponent, making corresponding responses or counterattacks that strike at incoming attacks. It also incorporates a set of principles to help practitioners make instant decisions and improve the physical and mental self, being intended to have practical applications in life without the traditional routines and metaphysics of conventional martial arts.

Intercepting Fist Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can view your opponent's easily telegraphed attacks in response to your own. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you automatically enter the Dodge stance--imposing disadvantage on all attacks against you.

If the opponent attempts to attack another creature or moves away from you, you can stop its movement or attack with your reaction and the expenditure of one Ki point.

Sturdiness of Technique

At 6th level, due to your study of the martial arts as a whole, you can focus on a type of damage and train your body and mind to become resistant to it. Once per short rest you can change this resistance.

Speed of the Wind

Beginning at 11th level, your technique has grown so powerful that you can enter a special meditation that focuses on an area that surrounds five feet of you. While in this meditative state, you can eviscerate any creature with the speed and accuracy of your strikes. As an action--for one minute, or until you lose concentration, any creature that enters the five foot cube automatically takes 4d(Martial Arts Die) for the first time on a turn or if it starts its turn there.

You can use this ability once per short rest.

You also gain the ability to use two reactions in one turn.

True Master of Interception

As one reaction, you can spend 3 ki points to intercept an attack, movement, or spell within 10 ft with an opportunity attack and decimate your opponent's ability to conduct warfare. If your attack roll beats the opponent's roll, you can choose to negate the spell, attack, or movement. You can also elect to reflect an attack back at the attacker, be it spell or melee. To accomplish this, roll your flurry of blows damage and include the damage that would have been dealt by your opponent.
