Monk
Base Class: Monk

Deep in the Narabatun Jungle can be found an ancient monastery of forgotten origin. Those that study the ways of this sect find no mantras, meditation, or scriptures. Instead, these monks practice the purification of mind and body in the crucible of combat. In conflict, struggle, and pain, they see the perfection of the soul as weakness is driven from them. The path they follow is a harsh one, and many abandon their studies. The monks bear them no ill-will; they are the weakness that is being purged, and those that remain are better for it.

Claws of the Tiger

At third level, you learn to focus your killing intent. Your unarmed attacks may deal slashing damage instead of bludgeoning. The first time you do so each turn, add your Proficiency bonus to the damage.

Pounce

The form of the tiger is studied at all times, so that its perfect ways may be emulated. Starting at third level, when you hit a Large or smaller creature immediately after moving at least 20 feet toward them, the creature must succeed at a Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Predatory Focus

At sixth level, you may use a bonus action and spend 2 ki points to slip into a primal state for one minute. During this time, targets have disadvantage to resist being knocked prone by Pounce, you ignore penalties to your speed due to terrain, and the damage bonus from Claws of the Tiger applies to all unarmed attacks.

Primal Ferocity

Starting at eleventh level, whenever a creature within 5 ft is knocked prone, you may use your reaction to attack it. Additionally, opportunity attacks against you have disadvantage.

Relentless Hunter

At seventeenth level, you learn to harness the bloodlust of the beast. When you reduce an opponent to 0 HP, you gain temporary hit points equal to three times your Monk level and may choose to enter Predatory Focus immediately with no ki cost. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
