Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who follow in this tradition have learned how to fight with the crushing power and ferocity of a wild beast. Typically training under a mentor and then honing their skills by wrestling the wild bears of the forest, these warriors strike with a fury and force that is almost inhuman.

Wilderness Conditioning

When you adopt this tradition at 3rd level, you may choose to use either Strength or Dexterity as your main Monk stat. For example, you may cause your attacks and damage with your monk weapon/unarmed strikes to use Strength instead of Dexterity.

Additionally at 3rd level, you have toughened yourself through your intense training to shrug off harm. As a bonus action, you may expend a ki point to gain temporary hit points equal to your monk level + your Constitution modifier for one minute. You also gain resistance to one damage type of your choice for one minute. Uses of this ability do not stack.

Crushing Grapple

At 6th level, you can automatically attempt to grapple your target when you land an unarmed attack against them.

In addition, while grappling a target, you no longer have to roll Attack rolls against the grappled creature. While you maintain your grapple on a creature, you may make unarmed attacks against them which automatically hit as you crush them with your grapple.

Overwhelming Force

At 11th level, you can overwhelm the defenses of your opponents with a hail of staggering blows. For each attack you land on an opponent, they must make a Constitution save with a DC of (8 + Proficiency + Wis) or they take a stacking penalty of -1 to both AC and Saves until the end of their next turn.

Furious Retort

At 17th level, you may use your reaction to expend 5 ki points to nullify one instance of damage and immediately make an Opportunity Attack against the attacker.

You may use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your Constitution modifier.
