Cursed Spirits

Starting at 2nd level, you gain the ability to tap into the power of Cursed Spirits. You have a pool of Cursed Spirit points equal to your wizard level. You can spend these points to summon different cursed spirits, each with their own unique abilities and characteristics. The cost and abilities of each spirit are different in their own ways

As an action, you can spend a number of Cursed Spirit points to summon a spirit. The number of points required depends on the spirit you wish to summon, as indicated in the Spirit Summoning table below. You can summon multiple spirits at the same time, as long as you have enough Cursed Spirit points to cover the total cost.

Spirit Enhancements

Starting at 6th level, your mastery over summoning allows you to enhance the capabilities of your spirits. Whenever you summon a spirit, you can choose to empower it with one of the following enhancements:

  • Vampiric Empowerment: The spirit gains the ability to heal itself for half the damage it deals with its attacks, siphoning the life force of enemies.
  • Toxic Infusion: The spirit's attacks deal additional poison damage equal to your Intelligence modifier, infecting enemies with lethal toxins.
  • Resilient Spirit: The spirit gains additional hit points equal to your wizard level, making it harder to defeat.

You can change the enhancement of a spirit by spending an hour conducting a ritual during a short rest.

Cursed Spirit Mastery

At 10th level, your understanding of Cursed Spirits deepens. You can now summon an additional spirit for 1 less Cursed Spirit point than its original cost. Additionally, you can spend 1 Cursed Spirit point to heal all your active spirits for an amount equal to your Intelligence modifier, channeling rejuvenating powers of arcane healing powers.

Army of Shadows

At 14th level, your summoning prowess reaches its peak. Whenever you summon a spirit, you can choose to summon an additional spirit of the same type for free. This does not require any additional Cursed Spirit points. Additionally, any damage dealt by your spirits is considered magical to overcome resistance and immunity and harness different arcane energies.
