Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

The Order of Restoration is a congregation of wizards who research the magics of nature and the divine in order to put them into practice with their own spells. Restorers might not be as flashy as the other wizardly schools and orders, but they nonetheless strive to recreate the beauties of life in their spells.

External Research

Starting at level 2 when you choose this wizardly order, you gain access to all spells from the Cleric and Druid lists. You still must copy them into your spellbook if you wish to learn them, but when you do, it only takes half of the time and gold. Additionally, you learn one cantrip of your choice from the Cleric or Druid spell list. This cantrip does not count against your known cantrips.

Consult the Texts

At level 2, your research has allowed you to gain insight into things typically outside a wizard’s knowledge. You gain proficiency in the Nature and Religion skills.

Magic of Life

At level 6, whenever you cast a spell from the Cleric or Druid spell lists, either you or an ally you can see within 30 feet of you regain a number of hit points equal to double the spell level cast. If you cast a cantrip, you or your ally instead gain 1 temporary hit point.

Applied Knowledge

At level 10, knowledge of certain spells gives you hints of how to avoid them. Whenever you are forced to make a saving throw for a spell that you know, you may roll the save with advantage. If you pass the save, you take no damage, and only take half damage if you fail.

Equivalent Exchange

At level 14, you can convert your arcane energy into restorative energy. As an action, you can spend any number of unused spell slots. For every spell level given up in this way, you add 3 hit points to a pool of hit points. You can do this on multiple turns or throughout the day if you wish. As a bonus action, you can choose 1 creature you can see within 30 feet and transfer up to 30 hit points from the pool to that creature. You can only transfer to one creature per bonus action use. This hit point pool lasts until the end of a long rest, after which it reverts to 0.
