Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of Judgment binds its holders to a life of impartial solemnity and unwavering justice. A vigilant sentinel guarding the halls of justice against both physical threats and internal corruption. An impartial Arbiter directing disciplined warfare with clinical precision, treating soldiers as mere statistics to be utilized strategically. A shadowy inquisitor maintaining balance through covert investigations, serving as both judge and executioner to those who stand against the rule of law. These are the paladins of Judgment, unyielding, unfeeling, and unbiased in all their actions.

TENETS OF JUDGMENT

The tenets of the Oath of Judgment are much like paladins of judgment themselves, strict, inflexible, and coldly efficient. While paladins of judgment are unusually uniform, some variation always exists, and personal interpretation is impossible to ignore. As a result of their strict interpretation of the law paladins of judgment are typically lawful neutral but can often be lawful good.

None are Above the Law. All who break the law face my judgment, king or beggar, both the petty and the extreme.

Order. Maintaining order is my duty. Bringing about change for better or worse is for others.

Impersonal. My personal feelings or obligations cannot affect my decisions. Order requires logic not passion.

Eye for an Eye. The punishment must equal the crime. Mercy only encourages further offense; excessive force is as much an evil as the crime it punishes.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Face Judgment. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer of judgment, using your Channel Divinity. Choose any number of creatures within 30 feet of you that you can see. Any creatures targeted must make a wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature can’t willingly move more than 30 feet away from you and is unable to hide from you. This effect ends on the creature if you are incapacitated or die or if the creature is more than 30 feet away from you.

Immutable Law. As a bonus action you whisper a prayer of determination and for 1 minute subtract your Charisma modifier from any damage you receive.
