Monk
Base Class: Monk

By taking this Path a monk train their body and mind to become more nimble and to use the time between attacks to pinpoint specific weak points of foes. They are some of the best skirmishers with an uncanny ability to avoid incoming attacks and deal devastating counters to their foes using their keen incite into other creatures.

Evasive Counter

When you take this path at 3rd level you learn how to use the time between attacks to pinpoint weaknesses in your foes to deal deadly counters. All opportunity attacks against you have disadvantage. Additionally, when an attack misses you gain a charge of Counterstrike.

You can hold a number of charges of counterstrike equal to your monk level which are consumed when you land an unarmed melee attack or when you are no longer in combat. Each charge of Counterstrike allows you to deal an additional 1D6 damage for each charge when you land an unarmed melee attack. Counterstrike damage dice increases to a D8 per charge at Level 11

Uncanny Evasion

At 6th level, you hone your mind to use the time between attacks to prepare to avoid further attacks. Whenever an attack misses, you gain +1AC until the start of your next turn. You can gain this bonus a number of times equal to twice your wisdom modifier.

Improved Awareness

At 11th Level, you have trained your mind significantly to become more aware of your surroundings and of other creatures. You gain proficiency with Incite and Perception checks. If you already have proficiency with these skills then you gain expertise with them. Additionally, your Wisdom Score is increased by 2 as well as its maximum.

Redirect

At 17th Level, you learn how to fully read an opponent's attack before they make it in order to redirect their attack back at them. When a creature makes an attack or spell attack on you, you can use your reaction to redirect the attack to hit the creature making the attack or another creature within the range of the attacking creature. You can choose to do this before or after the creature has made their roll but before the roll is determined to be a hit or miss.
