As an Eldritch Scientist, your character embodies the fusion of precision engineering and arcane mastery. Through their studies, they unravel the secrets hidden within the fabric of reality and leverage this knowledge to enhance their creations. The path they tread is a convergence of science and the supernatural, where every invention becomes a testament to their mastery over the eldritch forces that govern the unseen aspects of the world.

Tool Proficiency

At 3rd level you gain proficiency in a tool of your choice.

Relentless Inquiry

At 3rd level your unwavering pursuit of forbidden knowledge grants you unique insights into the arcane. Furthermore your passions have led you into the darkest corners of the occult knowledge. The flows and weaves of magic seem to always be in your peripheral and its lingering effects seem to be everywhere you go. You gain expertise in Arcana and one other Artificer skill.

In addition, when you attack with a magic weapon, you can use your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity modifier, for the attack and damage rolls.

Magical Attunement

Starting at 5th level, your continuous study of eldritch forces grants you an innate sense of the magical. You can cast the detect magic spell at will without expending a spell slot.

In addition, you are able to harness the magical energy around you and into your weapon. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can add 1d8 force damage in addition to the weapon damage.

Arcane Adaptation

Starting at 9th level, your understanding of eldritch forces allows you to adapt to magical threats and alter the magical weave. You gain the following benefits:

• When you finish a short or long rest, you can choose one damage type (fire, cold, lightning, acid, or thunder). You gain resistance to that damage type until you finish your next rest
• You gain the ability to come up with solutions under pressure. When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you is targeted by a spell that requires it to make a saving throw, you can use your Flash of Genius feature to reduce their roll by your Intelligence modifier (Minimum of 1). You can do this after you know the roll but before you know the results.

Scientific Revelations

At 15th level you gain Arcane Insight, your extensive studies into the eldritch weave grant you unparalleled insight. You gain the following benefits:

Mystic Awareness: Your connection to eldritch energies allows you to perceive the subtle echoes of magical occurrences. As an action, you can attune your senses to the magical history of your surroundings. You can sense the residual magical imprints left by spells or magical effects within 60 feet, providing insights into recent arcane activities

Once per long rest, as an action, you can channel the eldritch forces within you to unleash a burst of supernatural awareness. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

• As an action, you can sense the presence and location of all creatures within 60 feet of you that are under the effects of magical spells or conditions.
• You have advantage on saving throws against spells and magical effects.

Eldritch Scholar: You can add half your proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any Intelligence ability check that doesn't already include your proficiency bonus.
