Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians that walk through the path of the marauder specialize in being everywhere in the battlefield. Usually seen wielding thrown or ranged weapons, they are able to move unscathed through a skirmish, standing in the way of their allies hurting and being able to get out when the time is right, focusing their wrath on a different foe.

These warriors embody this mobile versatility not only in battle however, as they're usually well travelled individuals. As such, whether pillager, nomad, pirate or former prisoner on the run, you always manage to outmaneuver your foes.

Versatile Traveler

Beginning when you first choose this path at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Survival skill and in Cartographer's Tools.

In addition, you apply your Rage damage bonus to any attack you make that uses Strength, including ranged weapons and those with the Thrown property.

Rover's Repositioning

Also at 3rd level, you can move around the battlefield to aid your allies in combat. Whenever a hostile creature ends its turn within 5 feet of an allied creature you can see within 30 feet of you or makes a weapon attack against an allied creature you can see within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction to move up to half your speed towards them. If you finish your turn within 5 feet of the allied creature, you can swap places with them, as you take their space and they take yours. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks.

Wandering Warrior

Starting at 6th level, you gain the following features:

Rallying Shout. As part of the bonus action required to enter your rage, you may choose a number of allied creatures of up to a number equal to your proficiency bonus that you can see within 20 feet of you. Those creatures can use their reaction to move up to half their speed.

Jagged Strike. Whenever you deal damage to a creature with a weapon attack that uses Strength with a ranged weapon or a weapon with the Thrown property, you can cause the weapon or piece of ammunition to return to you after the attack, whether it hits or misses. When you do, once per turn, you can forcibly move a hit creature 5 feet towards you.

Swift Marauder

At 10th level, your prowess at being everywhere on the battlefield grows more powerful. You gain the following benefits:

  • Attacks that use Strength with ranged weapons or weapons with the Thrown property score a critical hit on a 19 or 20 on the d20. Whenever you score a critical hit this way, you gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage dealt.
  • Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
  • While raging, allies within 10 feet of you have half cover.

Abrupt Barrage

By the time you’ve reached 14th level, you can unleash a whirlwind of strikes. Whenever you take the Dash action as an Action while raging, you can choose to conduct a relentless assault. At any point during the course of your movement this turn, you can make up to a number of attacks equal to your Rage damage bonus. Each of these attacks must target a different creature.

While this feature is active, you can forcibly move creatures an unlimited number of times with your Jagged Strike feature and your attacks deal an extra 1d6 damage. If you move within 5 feet of an allied creature while this feature is active, you can forcibly move them to an unoccupied space within 10 feet of you.

Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
