Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of the Forge is a sacred covenant sworn by paladins who find profound divinity in the act of blacksmithing and the transformative power of the forge. These paladins forge their connection to the divine through the rhythmic clang of hammer striking anvil and the molten dance of metal within the crucible. The Oath of the Forge encompasses not only the physical craft of forging weapons and armor but also the spiritual metamorphosis that occurs through the melding of metal and divine energy.

Tenets of the Forge:

  1. Creation: Oath of the Forge paladins believe in the sanctity of creation. They dedicate themselves to crafting with precision and purpose, viewing each creation as a reflection of their divine commitment.

  2. Protection: The forge is not only a place of creation but also a bastion of defense. Oath of the Forge paladins swear to protect the innocent and the weak, forging a shield for those who cannot defend themselves.

  3. Mastery: These paladins pursue mastery in both the forge and on the battlefield. They see the perfection of their craft and martial skills as intertwined, each enhancing the other in a relentless pursuit of excellence.

  4. Transformation: Oath of the Forge paladins acknowledge the transformative power of the forge, not just on metal but on the self. They seek spiritual enlightenment through their work, understanding that the trials of the forge purify the soul.

Channel divinity

Brittle smite: When you hit a creature with a smite, you may invoke your channel divinity, to target the structural weaknesses of their equipment. At the cost of half the damage from the smite, you may shatter nonmagical equipment snapping blades or shattering armor, rendering one piece of equipment the creature is currently wearing useless. If used on Magical equipment, it acts as if it has been hit by the dispel magic effect, for the next minute. On a critical hit you don't need to spend half the damage of the smite.

Masterwork: When you invoke this feature of your channel divinity, you may bless one piece of equipment for the next minute. The following table shows a list of effects per piece of equipment.

During your regeneration, you emit a fiery 20ft radius Aura akin to the kiln of a forge, dealing a scaling 1d6 fire damage, this fire damage increases by 1d6 every other turn, ending at a maximum of 5d6 fire damage before ending in a fiery expulsion of molten metal and cinders, once this regeneration ends, you may roll 1/4th of your hit dice and heal for that amount (This does not expend your hit dice).

"In the crucible of battle, as the clash of steel resounds like the hammer's rhythmic beat, the paladin of the Oath of the Forge stands undeterred. With a fervent prayer, their connection to the divine forge intensifies, the air thickening with the essence of smoldering embers. The paladin's eyes ignite with an inner flame, mirroring the forge god's unwavering gaze upon the mortal realm.

In the blink of an eye, the warrior becomes a living conduit of celestial fire, a manifestation of the forge god's furious wrath. Armor, once gleaming steel, now pulses with ethereal heat, as though forged in the heart of a celestial forge. The chosen weapon, now ablaze with divine flames, is wielded with newfound grace and unyielding strength, each swing leaving trails of searing brilliance in its wake.

As the paladin charges into the heart of the fray, a wave of heat emanates from their very being. The air itself seems to warp and dance with the fiery aura surrounding the warrior. Allies nearby feel the surge of inspiration, their resolve strengthened by the palpable manifestation of divine power.

In the midst of battle, the paladin becomes an avatar of the forge god's fury. Unleashing each strike, they embody the relentless force of creation and destruction, forging a path through the ranks of their enemies. Each blow is a testament to the divine craftsmanship that courses through their veins, leaving adversaries scorched and vanquished in the aftermath.

But as quickly as the celestial fire erupted, it recedes. The paladin, now bathed in a soft glow, feels the weight of exhaustion settling upon them. The divine connection, once a blazing torrent, subsides, leaving behind the echoes of the forge god's fury and the warrior, forever changed by the brief communion with the divine forge."
