Base Class: Rogue

A desert viper emulates the speed and aggressive nature of a desert snake with vicious precision. They are patient stalkers, who lie in wait for their enemies, but attack suddenly and without remorse.

Desert Ambusher

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn to use the loose sands of the desert as camouflage. While within a desert or sandy environment, you can take the Hide action without needing cover, as you kick up loose sands to obscure your location.

Snake Bite

Starting at 3rd level you are a master of striking suddenly and without warning. Whenever you move up to 15 feet towards a creature while hidden and then make a melee attack against it, your Sneak attack deals an additional 1d6 damage.

Slippery Foe

At 9th level, vou become elusive to the grasps of your enemies. Your movement speed is increased by 10 feet.

You can spend 5 feet of movement to automatically escape from nonmagical restraints, such as manacles or a creature that has you grappled, and you need only spend 5 feet of movement to stand up if prone.

Envenomed

Starting at 13th level your attacks now carry with them the touch of poison. At the end of a long rest you can make a small vial of poison from snake venom extract, which contains 10 drips. Each drip deals 1d4 poison damage.

Whenever you are about to make a weapon attack, you can coat your weapon with any number of these drips as a free interact with object action. A creature that receives this poison damage becomes poisoned for the next 24 hours.

You must finish a long rest before you can craft any further uses of this poison. Whenever you craft a new vial of this poison, any previous vials are destroyed.

Vicious Viper

Starting at 17th leveL you can strike with the violent speed of a pit viper. If you take the Attack action on your turn, you can make two melee attacks against two adjacent creatures within range.

These attacks can both benefit from your Sneak Attack: however, when using this ability, you must attack both creatures while standing in the same 5-foot square.
