Base Class: Ranger
As a celestial Constructor, you will harness deep space magic to create arcanely constructed beasts that battle and journey alongside you. Your strong bonds to your constructs will determine your capabilities.
Wildspace Companion
At 3rd level, you gain a construct companion that accompanies you on your adventures and is trained to fight alongside you. Choose a beast that is no larger than Medium and that has a challenge rating of 1/4 or lower, your companion will appear as an arcanely constructed version of the beast made of scrap steel and spare parts (appendix D presents statistics for the hawk, mastiff, and panther as examples). Add your proficiency bonus to the constructs AC, attack rolls, and damage rolls, as well as to any saving throws and skills it is proficient in. Its hit point maximum equals its normal maximum or four times your ranger level, whichever is higher. Like any creature, the construct can spend Hit Dice during a short rest.
The construct obeys your commands as best as it can. It takes its turn on your initiative. On your turn, you can verbally command the construct where to move (no action required by you). You can use your action to verbally command it to take the Attack, Dash, Disengage, or Help action. If you don’t issue a command, the construct takes the Dodge action. Once you have the Extra Attack feature, you can make one weapon attack yourself when you command the construct to take the Attack action. While traveling through your favored terrain with only the construct, you can move stealthily at a normal pace. If you are incapacitated or absent, the construct acts on its own, focusing on protecting you and itself. The construct never requires your command to use its reaction, such as when making an opportunity attack.
If the construct dies, you can get another one by spending 8 hours magically constructing it. Either the same type of construct as before or a different one.
Astronomical Mind
At 7th level, you gain 3 wormhole charges. these are used for a variety of mysterious techniques to give the hunter superiority while tracking cosmic and terrestrial beasts. You regain all expended charges upon completing a long rest, and 1 upon completing a short rest.
When you make a ranged weapon attack, you may expend a wormhole charge and cause one of the following effects
Spacial Bend: teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the location of the attack
Displacing: target must succeed a dexterity saving throw equal to 10 + your proficiency bonus + half your level in this class rounded down or be teleported to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of you.
Heads Up: target must succeed a dexterity saving throw equal to 10 + your proficiency bonus + half your level in this class rounded down or be teleported to an unoccupied space within 5ft of a willing companion that you can see.
Galactic Fury
Starting at 11th level, you gain an additional 1 wormhole charge and regain 2 upon competing a short rest. you also gain aa handful of useful hunting tools.
Tag Team: when you command your construct companion to take the attack action, the target must succeed a DC 18 dexterity save or you can expend 1 wormhole charge to teleport your or a willing companion within 10 feet of you to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the the target of the attack
Switcharoo: you make a DC15 wisdom check, if you succeed you may expend a wormhole charge to swap places with your construct companion, granted they are within 100 feet of you, you do not have to see them to swap places.
- when you command your construct companion to take the Attack action, it can make two attacks, or it can take the Multiattack action if it has that action.
- You Gain the ability to cast Shapechange on your construct once a day, granted you use smiths tools as a spellcasting focus.
- you can look through your constructs eyes
Knowledge of the Black Hole
At 15th level, you gain an additional 2 wormhole charges and your connection to the celestial divine has grated you knowledge from far away lands and otherworldly realms.
Expend one wormhole charge and the associated action to execute the technique;
Stardust Form: bend your form to the shape to the fabric of space, being able to move though one solid object, wall, creature or space as if it was difficult terrain.
Cosmic Dodge: If a creature attacks you and does not have advantage on the attack roll, you can use your reaction to grant it disadvantage on the attack roll. You must use this ability before you know the result of the attack. if they miss the attack, you may teleport to an unoccupied space within 25 feet of you without provoking attacks of opportunity.
Wormhole Strike: When you use the Attack action, you can teleport up to 10 feet before each attack to an unoccupied space you can see. If you attack at least two different creatures with the action, you can make one additional attack with it against a third creature.
Construct Defense: When you take damage from an attack, you can use your reaction to make a DC15 constitution saving throw, if you succeed you may transfer the damage to your construct companion.
