Way of Energy

A monk subclass specialized on chanalizing ki into energy attacks, both ranged and melee.

Spellcasting

Upon choosing this subclass on 3rd level, you learn how to channel your ki into imitations of magical spells. You learn the Ki blast cantrip. You also learn the 1st level spell Ki Wave.

At 5th level you learn the 2nd level spell Ki Blast Barrage, at 10th level you learn the 3rd level spell Ki Beam and at 17th level you learn the 4th level spell Ki Burst.

Ki Casting

Starting at 3rd level, you can spend ki points to cast your spells. You spend 1 ki point per spell level.

Ki-Empowered Spells

Your spellcasting is powered up by your focus on the Ki used on your spells. When spellcasting, your monk spells ignore resistance to force damage.

Ki Barrier

At 11th level, you learn how to expand you ki and protect close allies from attacks. As a reaction to any attack against you or any friendly creature, you can spend 2 Ki points to grant a number of creatures equal to your proficiency modifier within 30ft a +2 bonus on their AC.

Limit Breaker

You can control your body to a point that you can greatly force yourself beyond limits for a limited period of time by concentrating the surrounding Ki inside your body. Once per long rest, as an action, you channel your energy to gain the following benefits:

- You instantly recover 2d10+Wis Ki points (Exceeding the normal maximum).

- You gain flying speed equal to your movement speed.

- Your movement doesn't trigger opportunity attacks.

- Your first unarmed strike each turn is considered a critical hit.

- You can cast Misty Step without spending a spell slot.

- You have advantage on Dex saving throws.

- During this transformation you can cast any Monk spell at spell level 9 by consuming ki points.

These effects end when you take more than 20 points of damage in a single instance or after 1 minute.
