College of Talent

Many people that decide to dedicate their lives in the study of music and the magic it contains may spend years trying to understand it, often times never gaining the magical knowledge that comes from it. However, you have never had to study for you have innate magical ability that comes from you. The magic that you wield shows how many people may take years of their lives attempting to gain something that you have had ever since you picked up your first instrument.

Innate Talent

When you join the College of Talent at 3rd level, you gain advantage with skill checks you are proficient in.

Talent Over Study

Also at 3rd level, your musical talent gives you the ability to use magic without exhausting your energy. Once per long rest you may cast a 1st level spell without expending a spell slot. The spell level increases to 3rd at 6th level and 5th at 14th level.

Inspiration from Magic

Starting at 6th level, you can expend a spell slot to regain Bardic Inspiration equal to the spells slot level once per short rest. The Bardic Inspiration you regain from this feature cannot exceed your Charisma modifier. You regain the use of this feature after taking a short rest.

Talent Trumps All

Your magical talent has exceeded your expectations allowing you to use magic in a way that is above the natural order. At 14th level when you use your action to cast a bard spell, you may use your bonus action to cast a spell equal to half the level of the original spell rounded down.
