Base Class: Sorcerer
It's long been believed that the ocean is innately magical. Many races revere it, believing that it symbolizes time, entropy, strength--even music. Some fear it, knowing that its power can drown the mightiest of ships and is home to some of the most terrifying creatures imaginable. But those born closest to it know better than any other just what its power is capable of in the right hands, and these individuals are called depth sorcerers.
Depth sorcerers draw on the innate oceanic magic within them, releasing it as flowing, or rushing water.
Heart of the Sea
At first level, you can speak, read, and write Aquan, and you and any creature can speak to and understand each other if you are both submerged in water.

Waveshaper
As an action on your turn, you can choose at least a gallon of water you can see within 30 feet of you and spend 3 sorcery points to expand it to fill a 5-foot cube. If the water is in a closed container, the container breaks and the water is freed. You can use this ability once per short rest.
Tide Walker
You learn water walk and can choose to cast it as a ritual, targeting only yourself. You can end the effects of the spell early using a bonus action.
Mariner's Eye
Beginning at 18th level, the sea calls you more strongly than ever before. You always know the location of and fastest path to any body of water you've seen before. Additionally, you can use an action to detect the presence of any body of water within 10 miles of you. When you enter a body of water, you detect the presence of any other body of water within 10 miles of your location and can optionally use your action to teleport into one of them, choosing an unoccupied space within the water. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
