Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Your entire life, you have felt the energies of the world surrounding you, echoing through your body, mind, and soul. But something about them has always been different from how others have felt them: where others feel the peace and solitude of nature, you feel more of the power and wrath nature has to offer in its might. Nature cannot always be peaceful, and it cannot always be chaotic, it must maintain a balance of the two. You, however, lean a little more to one side than the other and shall walk this path as a bastion for nature’s might and strength.

Tenets of Nature’s Fury

Protect the Natural World. Nature is the true constant in this world, and must be protected from those who seek to destroy or harm it.

Guide the Weak. Innocence abounds in the world, as precious as it is. Help those who are sought after by more vile beings.

Respect Life and Death. Life comes from nature, and it must be shown respect, lest one feels its wrath.

Embrace Balance. There is good and bad, order and chaos, life and death in nature. This balance must always be understood and accepted.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Burning Thorns. You seek to keep those who do wrong from moving forward. You use your action to summon flaming bramble around you in a 5-foot radius. This area becomes difficult terrain for all enemies who move through it, and does not affect anyone who you consider an ally. Those who move through this area take 1d6 piercing damage plus 1d6 fire damage for every 5 feet they move through it.

Nature’s Boons. The caress of nature blesses your healing to all those around you, granting you a second chance to heal. If you begin combat and have used up more than half of your Lay on Hands healing pool, you instead restore your HP pool up to half full once more.

Aura of Serenity

Beginning at 7th level, you emanate an aura of calm affecting all of those around you. Every ally within 10 feet of you, including yourself, can make Wisdom saving throws at advantage.

At 18th level the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Nature's Resolve

Beginning at 15th level, your connection to the natural world deepens even more, empowering your Channel Divinities within you. The following effects now apply to your existing Channel Divinities:

Fiery Bramble. Your Burning Thorns Channel Divinity now extends further and damages more. The radius increases to 15 feet around you, and enemies now take an additional 1d6 of piercing damage and additional 1d6 of fire damage for every 5 feet they move through the flaming barbs.

Nature’s Blessings. Nature emanates within you further, feeling the presence of life flourishing under your touch. Whenever you enter combat and your Lay on Hands HP pool is less than half full, it now refills entirely.

Knight of Wrath

At 20th level, you have become a dreadnought in the name of nature, and acting as an avatar of its wrath made incarnate. When you use an action to activate this feature, you gain the following benefits for 1 minute:

  • Nature powers your divine energies fully. You can add 2d8 of an elemental damage type of your choice (between cold, fire, lightning, and force) to your Divine Smites.
  • The ground around you alters at your very step. You can choose an elemental effect to happen in a radius of 20 feet around you, imposing difficult terrain effects on your enemies.
  • You can choose to fully expend your use of this feature for the day to instead immediately cast one of the following spells at level 7:

Once you use this feature to cast one of these spells, you cannot use Knight of Wrath for 7 days.

If you use Knight of Wrath for its base features, you cannot use it again until the following day.
