Winterborn

1st-level Child of Jack Frost feature

Due to Jack Frost being a patriarch in your family tree, you gain additional traits hereditary to you. Starting at the 1st level, you gain the following:

  • Once per turn, when you roll to deal cold damage, you may re-roll any rolls of 1 equal to half your proficiency bonus, but must use the new roll.
  • You gain resistance to cold damage.
  • You treat frozen terrain as normal terrain, and do not suffer disadvantage penalties associated with cold weather.

Chilling Power

6th-level Child of Jack Frost feature

When you cast any spell that deals cold damage, you can add your Charisma bonus to the damage of the spell multiplied by half the spell slot level of the spell. In addition, you may spend 2 sorcery points to convert the damage of a spell to cold damage if it does not already deal cold damage.

Subzero Comfort

14th-level Child of Jack Frost feature

At 14th level, spells you cast ignore resistance to cold damage, and when you cast a spell that includes a cold damage roll, you gain temporary hit points equal to half your sorcerer level rounded down.

Personification of Frost, Ice, and Snow

18th-level Child of Jack Frost feature

At 18th level you can temporarily warp your body to become ice. Your hair sharpens to icicles, as your skin becomes icy blue. As a bonus action, you surround yourself in a razor sharp blizzard of intolerable frigid temperatures. When you activate this feature you may choose any number of creatures equal to your proficiency bonus to be immune to its effects. The area within a 30 foot radius sphere centered on you becomes difficult terrain, including for flying creatures. Any attack roll made by a creature who is not immune to this feature against a target within the radius is made at disadvantage as the intensity of the blizzard obstructs their accuracy. Creatures are not immune who start their turn within the radius or who enter the radius immediately take 3d6 cold damage. This feature lasts for 1 minute, or until you dismiss it as a free action on your turn. For the duration of the ability you gain a fly speed equal to your walking speed as the winds lift you off of your feet.

Once you use this feature you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest. Alternatively you may spend 7 sorcery points to use it again.
