You are the conduit of Goetia, and have been granted access to a new school of magic. Created personally by Goetia, it is the culmination of hundreds, maybe thousands of spells.
Malleable Spell Weaving
2nd-level Ancient Spirit Magic feature
You gain the ability to expertly weave spells to be any shape you wish. When you cast a spell, you may shift and weave them in the following ways:
- Elemental Shift: You may freely swap the damage types of various spells. When you cast a spell, you may change the spell's damage type to any other type that is in your spell book. This feature does not count towards the number of Malleable features.
- Targeted Magic: When you cast a spell that targets an area or multiple creatures and requires the targets to make a saving throw, you can instead choose to target one creature. The targeted creature then has disadvantage on the saving throw.
- Generalized Magic: When you cast a spell that targets an area or has a specific formation type, such as: Cone,, Sphere, Square, etc, you can change the spell's formation to one of the others. The only spell attack that is not changeable by this feature are spells that target through Lines.
Ancient Magic Spells
2nd-level Ancient Spirit Magic feature
You are no longer required to carry an arcane focus, as your eyes have formed sigils around your pupils. They become your arcane focus, and it cannot be removed nor taken away from you. However, if you are blinded, you cannot cast spells. To counteract this, your eyes are quickly able to recover from the blinded condition. As a bonus action, you can end the blinded condition on yourself.
Additionally, you can select a number of spells from Goetia's personal library equal to your proficiency bonus. These spells are automatically added to your spell book, and do not count against your spells known. When you proficiency bonus increases, you may choose additional Ancient Magic spells.
Magical Stasis
6th Level Ancient Magic Feature
When you reach 6th level, as an action, you can magically force a Large or smaller creature you can see within 60 feet of you to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. Unless the saving throw is a success, the creature is encased in a field of magical energy until the end of your next turn or until the creature takes any damage. While encased in this way, the creature is incapacitated and has a speed of 0.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Master Weaver
10th Level Ancient Magic Feature
You gain the ability to ignore certain spell restrictions. Any spell that has a target of "self" can now target other creatures through touch as well. Spells with a range of self, now has a range of touch.
A creature holding the scroll can use its action to release the spell within, whereupon the scroll disappears. The spell uses your spell attack bonus and save DC, and the spell treats the creature who released it as the caster for all other purposes.
Once you create a scroll with this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest. You can only create scrolls for spells that target creatures. Certain spells cannot be turned into scrolls, and spells from the Ancient Spirit Magic school are impossible to scribe.
One with Magic
14th-level Ancient Magic feature
Your connection to the Magic of the World has become so profound that your soul has become entwined with it. You have advantage on all Intelligence (Arcana) checks, as the world literally helps you understand magic.
Moreover, you are able to weave two spells at once. When casting a spell, you may choose a second spell and apply one effect from that spell. The spells chosen cannot be of the same type. Example: you cannot weave a fireball spell and a lightning bolt spell together. You could, however, weave together the web spell and fireball, for instance. The spell effect chosen must require a saving throw, and must be 5th level or lower. Higher level spells are extremely difficult to manipulate.
