The Polearm Revenant possesses a connection to the supernatural, allowing them to strike fear into enemies and endure the trials of battle with a blend of martial skill and otherworldly abilities.
Polearm Mastery
At 3rd level you gain proficiency in polearms and the Polearm Master feat. When you take the Attack action and attack with only a glaive, halberd, or spear, you can use a bonus action to make a melee attack with the opposite end of the weapon, dealing 1d4 bludgeoning damage.
Counterstrike Stance
At 3rd level, While wielding a polearm, you gain a bonus to your Armor Class (AC) against opportunity attacks equal to your proficiency bonus. Additionally, when a creature within your reach misses you with a melee attack, you can use your Counterstrike Stance to make an immediate melee attack against that creature. This additional attack does not consume your reaction and is a part of the Counterstrike Stance.
Offensive Surge
at 7th level, Once per short rest, when you successfully hit a creature with a polearm attack, you can choose to deal an additional 1d8 damage of the weapon's damage type. The number of uses increases to two at 10th level and three at 15th level.
Siphoning Strikes
At 10th level, Whenever you score a critical hit with a polearm, you automatically regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier. Additionally, once per turn, when you hit a creature with a polearm attack, you can choose between the following effects for that specific attack:
- Weakening Strike: Reduce the target's Strength score by 1 (to a minimum of 1) until the start of your next turn.
- Vitality Drain: Regain hit points equal to your Constitution modifier.
You can choose either Weakening Strike or Vitality Drain for each separate polearm attack during your turn, but you cannot choose the same effect more than once in the same turn, and you cannot benefit from both effects on the same turn.
Essence Drain
At 15 level, Your polearm strikes become conduits for draining the life force of your foes. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a polearm attack, you can choose to unleash the essence drain. The target must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. On a failed save, the target takes an additional 2d6 necrotic damage, and you regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt. On a successful save, the target takes half damage, and you regain half as many hit points.
Relentless Assault
At 18th level, you gain the ability to make one additional opportunity attack per round, and when you use your Action Surge, you can make an additional attack as part of that action.
Dominant Presence
At 18th level, Your commanding presence on the battlefield becomes undeniable. While in combat, your allies gain a bonus to their attack rolls and damage rolls equal to your proficiency bonus. Additionally, enemies within 10 feet of you have disadvantage on saving throws against your polearm-related abilities. This effect does not apply if you are incapacitated.
