Base Class: Monk
The Way of The Mountain teaches that a mountain’s true strength is that it endures through all that is thrown its way. Civilizations rise and fall, but the mountain remains. These monks follow the same approach. They train their bodies to become tough like the mountains they idolize. They study the movements of their foes with stern patience and then strike back with tremendous force.
Stone Breaker
At 3rd level, you have taken on the principles of the Way of The Mountain. You can stand your ground, and strike back with bone breaking hits. Whenever you use your Patient Defense feature, you gain 1d4 additional armor class until the start of your next turn.
Whenever a creature misses an attack roll against you, if they are within your melee range you may use your reaction to make an unarmed melee attack against them. When you make this reaction attack, you may spend 1 Ki point to deal additional bludgeoning damage equal to the amount the creature missed you by, to a maximum equal to four times your Wisdom modifier.
Rock Hard
At 6th level, your body has become so hardened by all of your training and combat that striking you feels like hitting solid rock. Whenever a creature hits you with a melee attack, that creature takes bludgeoning damage equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die.
Mountain’s Might
At 11th level, your body is so used to taking hits that your skin is as tough as stone, and you can shrug off otherwise devastating blows as if untouched. As a reaction to taking damage, you may roll five Martial Arts die. You reduce the damage you took by the total rolled. You may use this feature three times per long rest.
Timeless Endurance
At 17th level, you have become as unbroken as a mountain. Shrugging off attacks with ease. You gain +5 points to your Armor Class and resistance to bludgeoning, slashing, and piercing damage from non magical sources.
