Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

While every barbarian possess power and rage that transforms them into an unstoppable force, the Path of the Protector barbarian channels that raw power into becoming an immovable object. Barbarians that walk this path find themselves the target of most spells, wether through manipulation of the weave, strategic planning, or blind luck. They can both take a hit, and redirect it to it's sender. Barbarians that follow the Path of the Protector derive their rage from their compassion or duty to protect the person, place, or thing that they are loyal to. They are both fierce and sturdy. The most legendary of which have been known to redirect high level magic and even dragon fire, remaining stalwart, like a boulder withstanding a light breeze.

Reflecting Rage

Through your many vigilant nights protecting those you are bound to, your body has become accustomed to the elements. Not only that but you have discovered a way of redirecting your opponents energy back at them.

Beginning at 3rd level, when raging gain resistance to acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, and thunder damage. If you would take acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, or thunder damage, then your next attack deals an additional 1d6 of that damage type for each 10 points of that type taken, rounded up. (if you take 13 thunder damage, your next attack deals an additional 2d6 thunder damage)

At 10th level gain resistance to magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. When dealing acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, or thunder damage, ignore resistances and immunities.

Natural Redirection

Through your understanding of nature, battle tactics, or shear luck, you find yourself on the receiving end of spells that weren't intended to go your way.

While raging you may use your reaction to redirect a spell that you are a valid target of, and can see the the caster. If the spell is an AOE spell, it is then centered on you. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. All charges of this ability are regained on a long rest.

Magic Resilience

Whilst becoming a lightning rod for spells, you have hardened both your mind and body against these effects.

When rolling a spell saving throw roll with advantage. Gain advantage against abilities like dragon's breath.

Body Blocking

You have learned the art of using your body as a meat shield to protect others.

When you are hit with an AOE spell or ability such as dragon's breath, you may choose to block the hit with your body. You automatically fail the save and take twice the damage, and all creatures in a 15 ft radius gain evasion.
