No stranger to battlefields you have stood vigil for many of your comrades after their fall. In their wake you have stood with shades and wraiths of those they've slain and so to will they stand the bulwark against your foes.

Vigilant Trance

When you choose this subclass at 3rd level you gain proficiency in Heavy Armor and your Rage is instead replaced by a Vigilant Trance. While in your Vigilant Trance, the normal benefits of rage are not affected by heavy armor. Additionally you may add your Constitution modifier to any weapon damage rolls, Charisma checks, and saving throws while under the effect of your Trance.

Empowered Mourning

Channeling the fury of your fallen brethren you are empowered to take up their arms. Beginning at 6th level, while under the effects of your Vigilant Trance you may choose one type of weapon with the heavy and/or two handed properties. This weapon is then treated as though it has the light property and Nick mastery. This selection can be changed at the end of a short or long rest.

A Debt Repaid

Your dedication is repaid in full, as those for whom you've stood rise to return the favor. When you reach 10th level in this class, you gain resistance to Necrotic and Radiant damage. When entering your Vigilant Trance a 15-foot emanation appears centered on you. Allies within this emanation share your resistance to Necrotic and Radiant damage as they are carefully guarded by your spectral allies.

The size of your aura increases to 30ft at level 17.

Righteous Recompense

Beginning at 14th level your Vigilant Trance has reached its pinnacle. Once per turn, when an ally within your emanation takes damage you may redirect 1/2 of the inflicted damage to a target within your emanation. Additionally, if an ally within the area reaches 0 Hit Points you can use your reaction to end your Vigilant Trance, allowing them to remain standing with 1 Hit Point. The target then gains Temporary Hit Points equal to your Barbarian level times your Proficiency Bonus.
