Base Class: Barbarian
For some barbarians, rage is a means to an end – that end being violence. The Path of the Berserker is a path of untrammeled fury, slick with blood. As you enter the berserker's rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being.
Reckless Frenzy
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your reckless attack becomes more potent as you enter a frenzy. Your reckless attacks gain the following benefits:
- Only the creature(s) you attack with a reckless attack (regardless of whether it hits or misses) will have advantage on attack rolls against you until your next turn.
- The rage damage bonus is doubled for reckless attacks.
Feral Animal
Beginning at 6th level, you can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect ends prematurely, and the creature that charmed/frightened you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Charisma modifier) or be frightened of you until your rage ends. The creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of their turns.
Bloodthirsty Presence
Beginning at 10th level, your reckless attacks become even stronger, as you throw away your own safety to secure the kill. Your reckless attacks gain the following benefits:
- Creatures that would have advantage on attacks against you from the effects of a reckless attack only have advantage on weapon attacks.
- When you deal damage with a reckless attack, you recover hit points equal to half of the damage dealt (rounded down).
- When you hit a creature with a reckless attack, it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Charisma modifier) or be frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
Ruthless Retaliation
Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within range of at least one of your attacks, you can use your reaction to make a reckless attack against that creature. Your opportunity attacks can also be made as reckless attacks. If you make a reckless attack, then use your Extra Attack, the second attack can also be treated as a reckless attack.
