Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Nigh on a thousand years ago the Dragoon first leapt onto the pages of history. The tale of Ishgard's founding speaks of the death of King Thordan at the talons of the wyrm Nidhogg, and of how his son, Haldrath, battled his father's slayer to open the path to his people's salvation. He claimed an Eye from his foe ere the great wyrm fled the field, and by drawing on the power of this grisly trophy did he gain mystical strength. Thus was born the legacy of the Azure Dragoon. Haldrath's knowledge and expertise became the inheritance of future generations, and his name was evermore revered as the father of Dragoons.

In the Dragonsong War, many a Dragoon has risen to the heights of glory—and yet more who have suffered ignominious defeat. To replenish their elite ranks, soldiers of particular excellence are selected from the Temple Knights to undergo dragonslayer training, but only few graduate due to its grueling challenges. Of those who do earn the right to be called Dragoon, it is tradition that only the strongest is chosen to wield the power of the Eye and inherit the mantle of the Azure Dragoon.

Aerial Mastery

Gain proficiency in Acrobatics. Additionally, when wielding a polearm, you have advantage on Dexterity saving throws. Lastly, you can now leap into the air up to triple your movement speed.

Master of the Skies

While falling, you can use your reaction to become immune to fall damage.

Dragon's Might

You can now add fall damage dice to your successful attack roll against an enemy that you strike from being airborne. Attacks against you while airborne have disadvantage. The landing attack you make from a jump is now a bonus action. Lastly, you can choose to make this attack AOE. Roll to hit, and anyone within 20 feet of your landing point must make a dex save dc of your attack roll. Failures get hit, and on success they avoid the attack entirely.

Dragon's Eye

You now land a critical hit with a roll of 19 or 20.

Wings of the Dragon

You now have the innate ability to fly. Your speed is double your base movement speed.

High Jump

You can now leap any height/distance you choose up to a maximum of 200 ft.

Wyrmwind Thrust

You can now deliver a thrust as a weapon attack action that damages all enemies in a straight line in front of you up to 60 feet long, 10 feet wide. The dex save dc is equal to your fighter level plus your proficiency bonus.

Polearm Mastery

You now deal additional force damage on all weapon attacks equal to your strength modifier.

Blood of the Dragon

Once per long rest, you may enter an empowered state. In this state, you now gain temporary hit points equal to half the damage you do, rounded up. During this mode, the number you need to roll for a critical hit is decreased by one, and you may select one ally you can see to also benefit from this effect. You gain advantage on all strength and dexterity checks. Finally, you do additional damage equal to your fighter level once per turn. The damage type will match one damage type you've dealt on that attack. This state lasts for 10 minutes, unless you choose to end it or are incapacitated.

Limit Break

You gain access to a powerful limit breaking technique. It has three levels. You can only use this technique by filling your limit break gauge. This is done by focusing on nothing else besides preparing the attack. This technique is clearly visible, and is likely to attract the aggro of enemies. For each turn that you successfully maintain concentration without performing any actions, reactions, or movement, your gauge goes up one. You can release this technique at any time and the already earned gauge will remain, but this process can only take place in combat, and all levels are lost if you are out of combat for 1 minute.

(Level 1) Braver: Deliver a powerful blow to one target that deals a guaranteed crit at max damage if it hits.

(Level 2) Bladedance: Same as before but roll quadruple instead of double for the critical.

(Level 3) Dragonsong Dive: Deals the maximum possible damage of rolling 8x the original damage dice.
