Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

A humanoid Raven lets out an unholy screech, holding a short sword bursting with magical charge in one hand, and dark eldritch arcana blasting from the other, soaring towards the wave of zealous Paladins sent to annihilate their guild.

You have found yourself the follower of The Old Crow, an obscure patron that thrives upon chaos and dark arcane powers. Guilds of Ravenfolk and other indoctrinated Aarakocra are spread throughout the realm, educating magically inclined folk about their isolated god. You are well aware the apathetic ways of your radical comrades, and whether you align yourself with them or not, know the Chaotic Evil ideals of the Old Crow. For some reason, you have been sent upon an expedition, either by the masters of your guild or The Old Crow themselves.

Arcane Avian

Starting from 1st level, you are granted the ability to magically summon an arcanely sourced avian creature of your choice that must be of a small size or under. They can understand and obey simple commands, and can be telepathically communicated with by the master. Understands and can rudimentarily speak Aaracokra. The avian will de - manifest after thirty minutes, or by will of the master. Feature can be used twice per short rest.

"In the land of the unseen,

The groves of the dead,

The guilds fester, sending their dark avians across the land,

The way of the Ravenfolk."

-Unknown

Eldritch Glide

Starting from 6th level, you are granted the ability to propel yourself into the air briefly using dark arcane magic. The user is able to glide 40 ft. before landing, and counts as an action within combat. Can be used to disengage as a bonus action, however you are only allowed to glide 20 ft. When you use Eldritch Glide, it expends a first level spell slot. Eldritch Glide cannot be used in an area with a ceiling of under 30 ft. in height.

At 8th, 12th, 16th, and 18th levels, the base distance you are allowed to glide is increased by 20 ft. Does not affect the use of Eldritch Glide as a bonus action.

"Tens of them, hundreds of them, soaring through the pale moonlight, bearing their arcanely infused blades. They descended on the defenders like mad, squawking prayers to their heinous god." - Account of a Ravenfolk invasion against an Aaracokra Keep.

Eldritch Retaliation

Starting from 10th level, you are able to channel your own suffering to cause an arcane retaliation against the origin of the attack. When you are successfully hit during a battle, you can use Eldritch Retaliation as a reaction to deal 4d12 necrotic damage + your Charisma modifier. Additionally, the target must succeed on a Charisma saving throw equal to your spell save DC, or be frightened for 1d4 turns. Once Eldritch Retaliation is used, however, it must be recharged during a short or long rest.

"His blade sank into the flesh of the Goliath Warlock, the creature falling back. The party of holy rangers celebrated, thrusting their longswords and bows into the air. They were so distracted by the prospect of their righteous victory, that they were not able to react to the wave of crackling black and purple arcane energy that was speeding towards their feathered group." - Aarakocra folk tale describing the virtues of humility and caution.

Lore of The Crow

Starting at 14th level, you are given the immortal Lore of The Crow, an ancient set of knowledge that allows you to learn the following:

1.-Weakness of aberrations and undead, allowing you to be granted a +2 on your attack and damage rolls against them.

2.-The ability to psychically communicate with all evilly aligned creatures, requiring concentration. If this concentration is broken, the line of communication will be severed with the contacted creature. Excludes creatures that could not feasibly speak or make vocalizations in any way.

3.-30 ft. of dark vision, if not already possessed.

4.-The ability to channel arcane discord to increase your attack damage by 6d8 necrotic damage, requiring a short rest per use.

5.-The ability to channel arcane discord to attempt and render a creature unconscious. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, or be incapacitated for 1d4 turns. Using this ability counts as an action.

"The Beholder hovered above the sole Warlock, laughing haughtily in the destruction of the walking Raven. The servant of The Old Crow kept the dim smile on his face, however, as he was already scanning for the tried and true weak points of the aberration..." -Guild description of the Lore of The Crow.
