Path of the Cosmic

The space between spaces: The Ethereal Plane. While some study and meditate for years or even for their entire lives trying to connect to the world beyond, you have found a sure fire way, by forcing your way in. Those who walk the Path of the Cosmic twist reality until it breaks the way they want it.

Warriors who are able to bend the Ethereal Plane to their advantage are often drawn to the eternal chaos of the world between, channeling that chaos through their rage to hop around and warp the battlefield to best disorient and slay their foes. Typically a barbarian touched by the energy of the Ethereal plane will show some sort of mark, perhaps something as noticeable as their eyes are as black as the night but shining with beautiful stars or something as subtle as loose dirt around them starting to orbit if they stay in place for too long.

Nebulous Presence

At 3rd level, you gain a connection to the Ethereal Plane and the ability to channel its roiling chaos in battle. Your presence has an effect that activates when you enter your rage and you can choose one every time that you rage.

If your presence requires a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier.

Rend : You rip the space away from your foes to close the distance. As a bonus action, a creature up to one size larger than you of your choice within 20ft must make a strength saving throw or be dragged up to 20ft towards you or until they are within an unoccupied space within 5 ft of you. If the creature is at least two sizes larger or than you, then you are dragged 20ft to it or until you are within 5 ft of an unoccupied space of the creature no saving throw required.

Flux  : Your body begins to partially fade in and out of the Ethereal Plane, making you harder to hit. you gain a +2 to your AC. When you get hit from an attack that deals a singular type of damage , roll a d8. On an 8, you gain resistance to that damage for that attack.

Nova : You spread the energy of the Ethereal Plane among your allies, bolstering their strength. You emit a 20ft aura of ethereal mist. As a bonus action, all allies within your aura (including yourself) gain 1d8 + your Constitution modifier temporary hitpoints.

Ethereal Irrupt

While some creatures have the ability to jaunt to and fro the Ethereal Plane, you rip your way in and force yourself through the other side. This technique can leave the space around you rather unstable.

At 6th level, as an action you force the fabric of reality apart to access the space between spaces, and teleport up to 30ft to an unoccupied space that you can see. When you teleport, the space you were in erupts as the rift closes behind you. All creatures within a 10ft radius to the space that you were standing before you teleported must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d10 force damage and be pushed back 5ft away from the rift.

You may use this feature a number of times per long rest equal to your Constitution modifier.

Cosmic Reflection

At 10th level, your mastery over the space between allows you to bring others with you into the Ethereal Plane. You can spend a minute focusing your anger into pushing through to the other side. You and a number of creatures of your choice equal to your Strength modifier are shunted to the Ethereal plane, akin to the effects of the Etherealness spell. This lasts for one hour.

you may use this a number of times per long rest equal to half your Constitution modifier rounded up (minimum 1)

Singularity Strike

At 14th level, your constant exposure to the Ethereal Plane allows you to absorb energy like a black hole and release it for one devastating blow. Every time you use a feature from the Path of the Cosmic you gain one Singularity point to a maximum of your Constitution modifier. when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can spend any number of stored Singularity points into d6s to deal extra force damage in addition to the weapon's damage.
