Base Class: Paladin
Dragonlords are paladins who seek to extend their reach across the land by binding a dragon into their service. Such a task should never be undertaken lightly. Forming a true bond with a dragon requires a paladin to hatch a dragon egg and raise the wyrmling from the first moment it draws breath. Raising a dragon in this way requires the paladin to lay their life on the line by swearing an oath. This oath creates a reciprocal bond between the paladin’s soul and the soul of the dragon.
But finding a dragon egg is no easy task either. For this reason, Dragonlords summon pseudodragon familiars and train them to seek out the perfect egg. This process may take years, and many paladins come to view the pseudodragon as a partner in the oath. When an egg is finally discovered, the paladin and the pseudodragon may share an almost parental pride in the hatchling. Once the paladin’s dragon is grown, its master becomes a true Dragonlord. But the paladin is as much a servant to the dragon as the dragon is to its master. The two are one—their destinies are interlinked—and whatsoever pain is suffered by one is also felt by the other.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options:
- Draconic Bond. You gain a bond with your draconic companion and familiar. After spending an hour in contact with them, you create an inseparable bond with the them. If its the Familiar, you are aware of where it is as long as it remains on the same plane. Also, while on the same plane you can speak with the familiar as if you are casting the [Tooltip Not Found] without needing the components. If you bond with your Dragon Companion. The bond between you allows you both to grow together. Whenever you cast a spell that targets you or your dragon, it affects the other as well. (I.E Wrathful Smite, Cure Wounds, Shield of Faith)
- Scorn the Unworthy. Your dragonlord oath elevates you above the multitudes of the corrupt and the weak. As an action, you can intone the Dragonlord’s oath, using your Channel Divinity. Enemy creatures within 30 feet that are Large or smaller in size must make a Charisma saving throw equal to your spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature falls prone and loses concentration on any spells that it has active.

Pseudodragon Familiar
When you cast the find familiar spell, you summon a pseudodragon instead of one of the normal forms described in the spell. The pseudodragon's primary purpose is to find you a dragon egg. The pseudodragon can smell dragon eggs if they are within one mile.
The pseudodragon is likely to find a dragon egg by the time you are 5th level, but it might be earlier. If your pseudodragon hasn’t found a dragon egg by 6th level, then it departs in search of one. In 1d6 days, it'll return to you with a random dragon egg of any dragon type. (Limited to Official Content only.)
If at any time your dragon egg is lost or destroyed, your pseudodragon will depart in search of another one. It will return in 3d6 days with the lost egg or a suitable replacement. If you deliberately lose or destroy your egg, then your pseudodragon refuses to perform this service.
Dragonlord's bond
At 7th level, your dragon egg will hatch. The dragon wyrmling is now bonded to you. As you gains levels in the Paladin class, the wrymling will evolve into the same dragon type. (I.E brass dragon wyrmling turns into young brass dragon at 6, and adult brass dragon at 13).However due to its recent birth the dragon loses access to its multiattack feature and can only use its breath weapon once per long rest.
Once per day, if your bonded dragon dies you can, as an action, cast the "Revivify" spell on it without expending the components or spell slots. Any uses after the first would would incur the normal costs of the "Revivify" spell.
Dragonlord's Aura
Starting at 7th level, after your dragon has hatched and you have bonded with the dragon, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain resistance to the damage of your dragon's associated breath attack. This range increases to 30ft at level 18.
Strengthening Bond
By 15th level, the bond between you and the dragon becomes even stronger. The dragon now gains access to its mulitattack feature. Also, whenever you or the dragon are targeted for an attack that is within 5 feet of one another, either you or the dragon may use its reaction to make a single melee attack against the attacker, if they are within range. Lastly, your auras flow through both you and your dragon. Those within 10 feet of your dragon also gain the benefits of your Auras. This increases to 30 feet at level 18.
Unbreakable Bond/Wrath of the Dragonlord
By 20th level, you and your dragon learn to fight in unison on the battlefield. Your dragon's breath weapon now becomes a rechargeable ability using the normal rules instead of what's outlined in Dragonlord's Bond. Additionally, when your dragon fails a saving throw, once per long rest, you may choose to have it succeed instead. Lastly, you can, as an action, empower yourself through the bond between you and your dragon for one minute. While empowered this way, you gain access to all the dragon's resistances and immunities and gain the dragon's senses (blindsight, darkvision, and its passive perception if its greater than yours) and deal an additional 1d6 damage on attacks. This damage is the same damage type as your dragon's breath weapon attack.
