Base Class: Ranger
Blessed by the Moon, the Moon Dancer chooses to follow Selune's radiant light. Moon Dancers are known to be as graceful as a moonbeam and replicate the shimmering of moonlight in their movement. They hunt at night by the light of the Moon and are particularly in tune with nocturnal nature. Their study of the lunar cycle has lead them to learn secrets day walkers may never know. Few people are known to have invoked the smile of the moon, but when does smile, her light brings great favour.
Moon Bow
Starting at Level 3, the moon sends a magical bow made of moonlight and dust. This bow can be summoned with 1 minute of concentration. If the bow is destroyed, you may ask the moon for a new bow, but this will take 1 minute of concentration.
The Moonbow deals 2d6+Dex cold damage. In addition, you can attack with advantage when moonlight is present.
Moon Burn
Starting at Level 3, you have learned to replicate the brightness of the full moon. You gain a pool of 3d6 burn dice which is replenished at moonset. As a free action, one die can be used to coat a weapon in moonlight to add 1d6 radiant damage. Any Moonburn dice that remain unused are lost when the next moon sets. You gain an extra d6 at level 10 and level 15.
Additionally, you learn the Moonbeam spell. This spell counts as a ranger spell but does not count against the number of ranger spells known.
Lunacy
Beginning at 7th level, your eyes reflect the moons maddening visage. Once per long rest, you can stare into the eyes of another creature within 10 feet of you and cause them to succumb to lunacy. The creature must roll succeed on a wisdom saving throw or roll on the short term madness table. This feature can be used once per long rest.
Additionally, you can use this moonlit eyes to see in magical and non-magical darkness up to 120 feet. You can see as though it is a full moon.
The Mind of Selune
Starting at 11th level, Selune is willing to share her knowledge with you when asked. Once per night (except on the new moon) you may ask the moon a question. The Moon will answer the question to the best of her abilities, based on what she has seen.
Additionally, she will whisper the location of enemies to you. Enemies can no longer gain benefits for 1/4 or 1/2 cover. You also gain advantage when the enemy is outside.
Sway Tide
Beginning at 15th level, you have learned how to weild the moons magnetic pull. Once per short rest, you may choose to sway the tide of yourself or one person within 10 feet of you, causing them to reroll one die. You determine which of the two values is taken.
Additionally, you learn the control water spell. Wisdom is your spell casting ability and It does not count against your ranger spells.

Posted Feb 27, 2023Currently playing a level 6 moon dancer and I am loving it.
It solves some issues ranger has, moon dancer also has quite a lot of flavor.
I highly recommend.
