Base Class: Wizard
Where you go, the reaper follows. Your path is littered with corpses and the smell of blood. As you grow stronger you rely on no one for help and choose to overcome everything on your own. Your desire for strength burns strong enough to call those wander the valley of death, and the army of the dead who follows your commands shall create a path where your thread will be the law and you would never need another's help again. Shadow Monarchs stand at the peak of necromancy, even to the point that Lichs and other powerful undead obey them.

Shadow Rival
Creatures who die at your hands or spells rise again next round as a Shadow version of of themselves. (Use shadow stats, Dungeon Masters should view this as gaining followers or hirelings.) At 6th level you can choose shadow or Specter. At 8th level you can add Poltergeist the choices. At 12th level you can add Ghost the choices. At 16th level you can add Sword Wraith Commander to the choices. At 20th level you can add Devkarin Lich to the choices. Undead created under this way remain under your command so until they are destroyed or released from your command. Undead who are released are destroyed instantly. You can only command a number of Undead at one time equal to your class level plus Intelligence modifier vs the creature's CR rating. (Combined CR of all undead controlled can not exceed CL+ Int Modifier.) Any spell the Shadow Monarch casts that would summon a creature or create an undead follows this setup as well.

Essense Drain
At 4th level, you gain the ability to reap life energy from creatures you injure with your spells. Once per turn when you injure one or more creatures with a spell, you regain hit points equal to twice the spell's level, or three times its level if the spell belongs to the School of Necromancy. You don't gain this benefit for injuring constructs or undead.

Monarch's Authority
At 10th Level the Shadow Monarch can expand their personal shadow out from them in a 15ft radius. Creatures created via Shadow Rival can enter this area and stored away for further use or be summoned out of said area and obey their Shadow Monarch's Command. While controlled undead are within the radius range they gain Fast Healing 5, +1 to AC, Attack, and Saves. At 15th level the radius becomes 30ft while the bonus to AC, Attacks,Saves becomes +2. at 16th Level the radius becomes 60ft with the other bonuses becoming +3. at 20th Level the radius 90ft Each enemy of the Shadow Monarch must make a wisdom saving throw (Spellcaster DC) or suffer the affects of Cause Fear. At 10th Level You and allies within the given radius gain the spell affects of Protection from Evil and Good. At 15th Level you and allies also gain the affects of [spell]Death Ward[/spell] and Circle of Power. At 120h Level you and allies gain the affects of Rary’s Telepathic Bond. At 20th Level you and allies gain the affects of Greater Invisibility, Haste, and Far Step. You and allies can activate and deactivate these affects at will.

Monarch's Charisma
At 14th Level the Shadow Monarch can use Enthrall once per short rest. At 16th Level The Shadow Monarch can use Mass Suggestion once per long rest.

Enthrall
At 14th Level the Shadow Monarch can use Enthrall once per short rest.
Mass Suggestion
At 16th Level The Shadow Monarch can use Mass Suggestion once per long rest.
Monarch's Accession
At 14thth Level The Shadow Monarch is coated in flame-like shadows that function just like Shadow of Moil. 11 star-like motes of light appear and orbit their head like Crown of Stars, when all the motes are used they will return after 1 round. When the Shadow Monarch's Authority is active they may apply the affects of Mirage Arcane to the radius of monarch's shadow to create a nightmarish terrain and environment of their own choosing.

Originally when I was first crating the this subclass I wanted the Monarch's Accession to kick in at level 20, however the formatting of the site forced me to change that. There is also an expanded spell list in my original version but it was causing issues inside the editor to I was forced to remove it from this version.
