Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Paladins who swear the Oath of Silence embrace a life of shadows and secrecy. They follow the tenets of silence to maintain the balance between order and chaos, ensuring that certain truths remain veiled for the greater good.

TENETS OF SILENCE

A paladin who takes this oath will write these tenets on a parchment they keep on them at all times, it will be written in the blood of their first mark.

VEIL OF SECRECY: Maintain the shadows that conceal the hidden truths. Speak sparingly, for words can be both a weapon and a vulnerability. Guard the secrets entrusted to you with unwavering dedication.

LETHAL WHISPERS: Embrace the power of silence in the execution of justice. Let your actions speak louder than words, and strike with precision and purpose.

PRICE OF KNOWLEDGE: All knowledge comes at a price, secrets are worth more in your pocket, and lies only increase the value of knowledge.

HIDDEN OBSERVATION: Watch without being seen, and listen without being heard. Cultivate a keen awareness of the unseen and the unheard.

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed in the Oath of Conquest Spells table. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how oath spells work.

Tools for the Job

You understand the power of silence. You gain proficiency in Dexterity (Stealth) if you don't already have it. Additionally, you gain proficiency with the poisoner's kit. You can use this kit to apply poison to your weapons.

Channel Divinity: Veil of Silence

Starting at 3rd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to shroud an area in magical silence. As an action, you present your holy symbol and invoke silence in a 15-foot radius sphere centered on you. The sphere moves with you and lasts for 1 minute. Within the sphere, no sound can be created, heard, or passed through, and all creatures are deafened while inside. The sphere dispels spells of 3rd level or lower that create sound, such as Thunderwave.

Clandestine Strike

At 7th level, you learn to channel your divine smite through ranged weapon attacks. When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack, you can expend a spell slot to deal radiant damage as part of the attack. The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8. Additionally If the attack is made with advantage all rolled 1's and 2's may be counted as 3's.

Advantageous Assassin

Starting at 15th level, you have mastered the art of striking from the shadows. Your melee weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.

Additionally gain proficiency with Dexterity saving throws.

Executioner's Prowess

At 20th level, your strikes have reached the pinnacle of lethal precision. You gain the following benefits:

Assassin's Flair: Weapon attack rolls of 18, 19, or 20 on the d20 count as Critical Hits for you.

Deadly Execution: Once per turn, when you score a critical hit with a weapon attack, you can add damage equal to your Paladin level. Additionally, the target must make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC ({{savedc:cha}}) or be stunned until the end of your next turn.

Masterful Evasion: When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail.
