Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The general is one who commands the battlefield using their understanding of tactical maneuvers and positioning to turn any situation into an advantageous one. A general uses careful tactics, planning positioning, and strikes when it is most effective.

Study of War

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Dragonchess Set. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check using a Dragonchess Set.

Calculated Attack

Your expert knowledge of positioning and tactics allows you to spot and exploit any opening. On your turn, as a bonus action, study one creature you can see to find their vulnerability. The next time you take the Attack action, you may use your Intelligence modifier instead of your Strength or Dexterity for both the attack and damage roll.

Additionally, the first time you use Calculated Attack to study an enemy, you may ask the DM if the creature has any resistances and if it has any vulnerabilities. If they do, you can ask the DM to reveal one, either resistance or vulnerability, of your choice.

Command

When you take the Attack action on your turn, you can forgo any number of your attacks and use a bonus action to direct your companions to strike. When you do so, for each attack you give up, choose a friendly creature who can see or hear you. That creature can immediately use its reaction to make one weapon attack, adding your Intelligence modifier (minimum of one) to the damage. You may choose the same creature multiple times.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier plus your proficiency modifier, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a short or long rest.

Reposition

During your turn, you may forgo your own movement in order to allow one ally who can see or hear you to move up to their maximum movement speed.

Battlefield Evaluation

Starting at 7th level, your ability to assess your environment means that whenever you roll initiative in an area you have spent at least one minute in, you have advantage against being surprised and may add your Intelligence modifier to your initiative.

Rally

Starting at 7th level, as an action, choose a number of creatures equal to your proficiency modifier. Each of those creatures gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier. You may use this feature once per day.

Arcane Artillery

After reaching 10th level, once per long rest you may use your action to allow an ally to cast a spell as a reaction. The spell must have a casting time of a reaction, bonus action, or an action.

Tireless Command

Starting at 15th level, when you roll initiative and have no uses of Command, you regain 2 uses.

Peerless Direction

Starting at 18th Level, you may use your reaction to give a creature you can see advantage or disadvantage. You may use this a number of times per day equal to your Intelligence modifier.
