Oath of Revolution

Paladins who swear this Oath of Revolution believe in justice through resistance, understanding that sometimes radical action is required to break the chains of tyranny. They are the vanguards of revolutions, leading rebellions and inspiring others to join the fight against injustice. Whether facing tyrannical rulers, corrupt regimes, or any form of unjust oppression, these paladins are unwavering in their commitment to protecting the weak and creating a world where all beings are treated with dignity and equality.

Tenets of the Revolution

Liberation: The primary goal of those who follow this oath is the liberation of the oppressed. This could include freeing people from tyrannical rule, breaking chains of slavery, or fighting against any form of unjust oppression.

Justice Through Resistance: Followers of this oath understand that sometimes justice requires resistance against oppressive forces. They are willing to take up arms and lead rebellions to bring about positive change.

Self-Determination: The right to self-determination is sacred. You pledge to protect the autonomy and free will of individuals, allowing them to make their own choices and shape their own futures.

Equality: Champions of this oath believe in the inherent equality of all beings. They strive to create a world where everyone has the same opportunities and rights, regardless of race, gender, or background.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options. See the Sacred Oath class feature for how Channel Divinity works.

Inspiring Rally. You can use your Channel Divinity to empower your allies with words of encouragement. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to inspire up to 5 allies within 30 feet of you. They gain temporary hit points equal to your Paladin level + Charisma modifier.

Let Freedom Ring.You can use your Channel Divinity to free the oppressed from their restraints. If a creature within 30ft of you is either charmed, grappled, or restrained, you can use an action to immediately end all of those effects on the target creature.

Aura of Freedom

Starting at 7th level, you constantly emanate an empowering aura while you’re not incapacitated. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.

You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened. Additionally, friendly creatures that are grappled or restrained within this aura have advantage on saving throws to escape.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Revolutionary Zeal

At 15th level, your commitment to the cause empowers you with unparalleled zeal. Whenever you roll for initiative and have no uses of your Channel Divinity remaining, you regain one use.

Emissary of Liberation

At 20th level, you embody the unyielding spirit of revolution. As an action, you can magically become an avatar of liberation, gaining the following benefits for 1 minute:

• You have resistance to all damage.
• Your attacks deal additional radiant damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
• As a reaction when an ally within 30 feet of you would take damage, you can teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of them, and take the damage instead of them.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
