Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Momentum are masters of efficient movement, allowing one motion to flow into the next. These warriors use their agility become a blur of activity on the battlefield, moving from one opponent to the next before their enemy can react. Monks of the Way of Momentum benefit greatly from spreading their attacks between multiple targets, never staying in place for long.

Dropkick

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use the momentum of your movement to bolster your attacks. Your first successful attack after moving during your turn deals and additional martial arts die in damage for every 10 feet of movement you have expended prior to attacking. This feature may be used more than once in a turn, using movement expended since your last dropkick to determine bonus martial arts dice for subsequent dropkicks.

In addition, on a successful dropkick you may expend ki points up to your wisdom modifier, pushing your target back 5ft per ki point expended if they are large or smaller.

Fluid Grace

Starting at 3rd level, you can amaze onlookers with your fluidity of movement. You gain proficiency in performance.

Movement Expert

Starting at level 6, rapid movement has become second nature. When you expend ki to use Step of the Wind, it does not consume your bonus action. In addition, you may move through enemy spaces for no additional movement cost, but not end your turn on an enemy space.

Compounding Momentum

Starting at 6th level, you learn to enter a flow state of constant motion in battle. Every time you use the dropkick feature, you gain a point of momentum, up to a maximum of your wisdom modifier. Every time you take damage, you lose a point of momentum. For every point of momentum you have, your attacks deal 1 point of additional damage. In addition, you may spend a point of momentum as a free action at any time to increase your movement speed by 10 feet or grant yourself an additional reaction until the end of your next turn.

Momentum Flurry

Starting at 11th level, you've learned to use the impact of one attack to chain into the next. You may use your bonus action to expend all momentum, making additional unarmed or monk weapon attacks up to the amount of momentum you expended.

In addition, if you kill or down an enemy using attacks granted by this feature, you gain 2 momentum back immediately.

Unstoppable Motion

Starting at 11th level, you can channel your inner ki to make your momentum unstoppable. You may use 2 ki to cast Freedom of Movement on yourself, and you may choose to use either an action or bonus action to do so.

Momentous Mastery

Starting at 17th level, the harmony between your body and soul is nearing perfection. You now gain momentum for every successful attack you land, not just dropkicks. In addition, you retain your momentum points after a battle ends, and may spend a momentum point to add your proficiency modifier to any skill check you do not already have proficiency in.
