Base Class: Sorcerer
The very essence of flame burns within you - for ill or for good. Fire can be wild and destructive, but given purpose it can give warmth and life as well. Whether or not you will bend to the flame within or the flame will bend to you is based on your own inner strength.
Ignis Armor
The fire that burns deep within you has made you resistant to what would cause most damage. You have resistance to fire damage and hot temperatures do not cause you discomfort. In addition you gain an unarmored bonus equal to 13+Dex as long as you are conscious. Spells that normally deal Cold, Acid, Lightning or Thunder damage instead deal Fire damage.
As a bonus action you allow the flames of your magic to completely consume you. While doing this you gain the following benefits:
- 40 movement speed (this speed increases to 50 ft at level 10 and 60 ft at level 18).
- You regenerate hitpoints equal to your Charisma modifier so long as you have not been hit by Cold damage at the beginning of your turn.
- Critical Hits with spells cause Fire damage deal an extra 2d6 damage.
This lasts for one minute and you may do this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier every long rest.
Fire's Friend
At 6th level, you gain the ability to control fire in ways that no other can, giving it actual real life. If you have access to fire you may cast the spell Find Familiar, using the fire as your ingredients, as a bonus action and without using any spell slots. The fire familiar has the same sort of limitations and stats as most familiars, but sheds bright light at a 20-ft radius and dim light to a 40-ft radius. It can ignite unworn or unattended flammable objects by touching them and can cast the spell Fire Bolt using your spell attack bonus and damage dice.
While you are Consumed your familiar gains +5 to their AC. It grows to the size of a Medium Creature and can take the stats of any Medium sized beast that most resembles the shape it was given originally. All of its attacks in both forms deal fire damage. Your familiar gains all of the benefits you gain from your Consumed ability as well. You may only have one of these familiars at any given time.
In Your Heart Shall Burn
At 14th level the fire that fuels you is more potent than ever before. You gain the following benefits:
- While Consumed creatures hit by a spell that deals Fire damage are now considered on fire and take your sorcerer level in damage until they use an action to douse the flames.
- You add your Charisma modifier to all damage dealt with your spells.
- You have Immunity to fire damage always.
- Spells with the damage types of Force, Necrotic and Radiant now deal as well.
- Your Familiar now grows to a size of Large.
Consumed by Flame
At 18th level, at this level when you become Consumed you transform into a Fire Elemental. This ability works similarly to a Druid's Elemental Wild Shape, except that you have the ability to cast any of your spells that deal Fire Damage while in this form. Said spells gain an additional damage dice for every spell level it is (minimum of one) while in this form. This form can now also last a number of hours equal to half of your Sorcerer level (or until you run out of hitpoints).
In addition you can use your action to telepathically command your familiar to cast any spell of first level or higher so long as it deals fire damage.

Posted Mar 22, 2022Ignis Armor has an error where it adds an additional 13 + DEX rather than a +3
Example:
10 + DEX + (13+DEX) =
10 + 3 + (13+3) =
10 + 3 + (16)=
29 AC
vs
10 + DEX + 3 =
10 + 3 + 3 =
16 AC
