Base Class: Monk
A Storm Sage Monk is a monk that has stayed away from others for most of his life gaining knowledge of the world and its feats. Of the Storm Sage monks hardly any of them get past 3rd level because why would there be a reason to fight for a sage who lives away from others. Unless like the few monks who have taken up this style of life with a purpose. A purpose that involves great power beyond what any normal humanoid has seen. They are able to call down lighting and bring about thunder with a clap of there hands but there are only a few with this power. Many monks know nothing but a shell of what the class really can do but the ones that do know that its special an not many monks can take on the attributes of storm and lighting. A few though are born naturally to the traits being that they are the race aarakocra because they are born to the wind and sky and can more easily shape and form there ki into lighting. Though the very few aarakocra who do seek out this profession and then out of the ones who use it with a purpose become some of the strongest monks to ever be known because of the rarity and power that is Storm Mage.
Storm Arts
Starting when you choose this tradition at third lvl, you gain the ability to shoot your ki through you body in an electrified form enabling your self to make an extra attack right after making your action for that round . Additionally you can shoot a small bolt of electricity that is instantaneous (bonus action) and does 1d8 lightning damage and can shoot up to 120ft. You are also able to make the wind bow to your will and spread it across your fist and eject the wind when you punch doing 1d10 air damage and it can go up to 60 ft away from you. (bonus action)
Ki Recovery
Staring at third level you are able to collect the energized atoms of the air and without taking an action or moving you can gain 1 ki point for your turn.
Refined Ki
Upon reaching 6th lvl you learn to control your ki to a fine edge and are able to put a huge amount of your ki into your hands and shoot tendrils of arcing lighting that hits up to 4 units that you wish dealing 2d8 lightning damage and expending 2 ki points, the range is 3 ft wide and 150 ft long, the saving through is dex with a dc of 14. You are also able to extend your ki out from your palm and make a sphere of spinning air that deals an extra 2d4 lighting damage with your unarmed strikes or proficient/monk weapon and last for 1d4 plus your monk lvl rounds and expends 2 ki points.
Electrified Body
When you reach the 8th level you become very proficient with shooting ki through your body to where it becomes natural and you no longer have a tingling sensation or a different than normal attitude to were you are able to shoot more through your body subconsciously and you gain a plus 2 two your dex
Lightning Bomb
You channel all of your ki into your hands and shape it into a ball of mass destruction you can put anywhere from 1 to your max amount of ki points into this move the damage role is however many ki points put in is a d8 lightning damage (say if you used 3 ki points it would do 3d8). If you put all of your ki points into it and if the target you attack is not killed in one hit with an unsuccessful saving through and has an dc of 2 or more you have a 5 percent chance to absorb all of your ki that you used and go into a rage. This rage allows you to try and dodge any attack this allows you to make a saving through against dex with a dc of 15 which, successfully saved you dodge and take no damage and unsuccessfully you take half damage. (rage is only for lvl 14 and up)
Electric transfer
You have gained the ability to transfer your electrical ki to another ally or group of partners safely to help support them. With 1 ki point you give them an added damage boost of 1d6 on all of their attacks for 1d8 + dex + wis modifier, with 3 ki points you give them a boost of 1d8 damage and a plus 2 to their ac that last for 1d10 plus monk lvl rounds, with 5 ki points you give them an extra 1d12 damage and 4 ac, and for 10 ki points you will be able to give them a 2d8 plus to damage, 6 ac, and an extra attack right after their action(s).(min person affected 1 max 50)
Lightning Form
Starting at lvl 3 your ki starts to adapt to the lightning more and more and starts to form around you helping protect you giving a plus 1 to ac
At lvl 6 you become more attuned and are able to subconsciously surround yourself in electric ki giving you a plus 2 to ac
At lvl 11 you have become very proficient with your ki able to kill surrounding creatures at will if they have a hp of 5 or less and you start to make your ki for armor around you giving a plus 4 to ac
At lvl 17 you have mastered your ki enough to make at will an avatar of lightning around you for 10 ki points and 3 every 3 rounds to sustain the avatar is around 15 ft tall and takes whatever form you want it to
Avatar stats: It has 200 hp and does a beam attack for 8d10 damage in a 6ft wide and 75 ft long beam and every 10 rounds you can heal it to full health for 2 ki points, Its fist do 2d8 damage and its mouth does 4d8 it has the same movement speed as the player but its str:21 dex:same as player con:21 int/wis:same as yours Cha:none.
