Base Class: Monk
Monks who have mastered the flow of energy within their bodies, the very electrical pulses that move their muscles, can begin to influence the electrons and protons of other living beings with mere contact. Those that train this ability have walked the Way of the Storming Fulmination. They can channel these charges into violent bursts of lightning, decimating hoards of foes at a time.
Electric Wind God Fist
Starting at 3rd level, you can overload a creature with electric charges, turning them into breaking points for lightning to strike from. Whenever you hit a creature with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon, that creature becomes charged. This condition lasts until the start of your next turn.
Whenever you hit a charged creature with an unarmed strike or monk weapon, you can overload it, dealing lightning damage equal to your martial arts die to it, and other creatures of your choosing within 20 feet of the charged creature.
Ionized Detonation
Beginning at 6th level, you can channel the negative charges in your body to seek out and strike targets with a positive charge. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to choose one creature within 60 feet of you that is charged, stunned or paralyzed. That creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC, taking 4d10 lightning damage on a failure, and half as much on a success. This removes the charged, stunned and paralyzed conditions from it.
The lightning damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 7d10 at 11th level, and 10d10 at 17th level.
Fulgur Stride
At 11th level, your body has become akin to electricity itself. You gain immunity to lightning damage.
In addition, you can spend 1 ki point as a bonus action to instantly teleport to a creature within 60 feet of you that you can see, reappearing in a space adjacent to it. You may spend another ki point to teleport to another creature in the same manner as part of the same bonus action, up to a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier. All creatures that you teleport to in this manner become charged.
Heavens Asunder
At 17th level, you have mastered the flow of electrical energy. Whenever you apply the charged status to a creature, it lasts until the end of your next turn. Additionally, you can access an improved version of your Ionized Detonation by spending 5 ki points. This version can target all creatures that are charged, stunned or paralyzed within 100 ft of you.
