Base Class: Sorcerer
The Ancient Feyblood Sorcerer is not merely descended from fey creatures. There are entire populations who can claim as much, but a mortal descendent of an Ancient Archfey is thought impossible to exist. The blood of an Archfey mixing with mortals would be a tremendous scandal in any of the courts of the Feywild. Still, here you are. There's no proof of your lineage allowed to exist, and you may be an inconvenience or an incrimination for some very powerful and capricious beings, but you can feel deep down what you are. Nature whispers to you, and it listens when you merely take a breath.
Feyblood Spells
1st Level Ancient Feyblood Feature
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Feyblood Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. At the end of each long rest, you may choose your disposition for the day: Seelie or Unseelie. You have access to all of the "Fey Spells" and to the spells for your chosen disposition.
Feyblood Spells
| Sorcerer Level | Fey Spells | Seelie Spells | Unseelie Spells |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | Faerie Fire | Bless | Bane |
| 3rd | Misty Step | Spike Growth | Web |
| 5th | Speak With Plants | Hypnotic Pattern | Fear |
| 7th | Polymorph | Hallucinatory Terrain | Blight |
| 9th | Geas | Awaken | Dream |
Seelie
Your disposition is bright like a summer's day.
Unseelie
Your disposition carries a quiet, peaceful gloom.
Sylvan Heritage
1st Level Ancient Feyblood Feature
You have inherited a number of traits and skills from your heritage. You can speak, read, and write Sylvan, and you may choose one or more of the following traits which become more prominent as your sorcerer level increases:
| Trait | Description |
|---|---|
| Green Eyes | You have eyes with deep green irises. As you level, the whites of your eyes may gradually deepen into different shades which can change depending on your disposition, such as pale green, lavender, or black. |
| Antlers | You sprout antlers with a length of 1 inch per sorcerer level. |
| Tail | You sprout a tail that may be equine, lupine, feline, or resembling that of any animal complimentary to your lineage. If it's a long tail, it has a length of 2 inches per sorcerer level. |
| Fangs/Claws | Your teeth and nails begin as completely normal, but they may gradually lengthen into fangs and claws as you level. By 20th level, your canines and/or claws may be as long as 2 cm. |
| Fur | Unless your race is prone to growing a full coat, you may grow some fur in tufts on your joints and ears or in stripes along your limbs or down your back. |
Fey Trickery
1st Level Ancient Feyblood Feature
You have a particular aptitude for playing games and toying with your opponents. You may use the Heightened Spell metamagic on an Enchantment or Illusion spell without expending sorcery points once per long rest. Afterward, Heightened Spell only costs 2 sorcery points instead of 3 for Enchantment and Illusion spells.
Faerie Paths
6th Level Ancient Feyblood Feature
You may travel like the Fey using your sorcery points. You can cast Misty Step with 2 sorcery points instead of a spell slot. When casting Misty Step in this way, you may still cast a leveled spell with your action.
At 14th level, you can cast Tree Stride using 5 sorcery points. A pathway between trees which you use on your turn remains open until the start of your next turn, and you may choose who else can utilize it. At 18th level, you can cast Transport Via Plants using 6 sorcery points. You may also transport to trees you’ve known in the Feywild.
Skyborne
14th Level Ancient Feyblood Feature
You gain the ability to sprout a pair of Fey wings from your back, gaining a flying speed equal to your current speed. You can create these wings as a bonus action on your turn. They last until you dismiss them as a bonus action. The appearance of the wings is determined by your current disposition. If you have a Seelie disposition, the wings may appear as colorful butterfly wings, large leaves or flower petals, or faerie dragon wings. If you have an Unseelie disposition, the wings may appear as raven wings, deep violet ribbons which disappear into the sky like puppet strings, or spider webs stretched between long, thin, arachnoid legs. You can’t manifest your wings while wearing armor unless the armor is made to accommodate them, and clothing not made to accommodate your wings might be destroyed when you manifest them.
Archfey Scion
18th Level Ancient Feyblood Feature
You have 30 feet of Truesight, and you cannot be charmed or put to sleep. As a bonus action, you can spend 5 Sorcery Points to channel the ineffable majesty of an Archfey. For 1 minute or until you have the Incapacitated condition, you have resistance to spell damage, and you are immune to the frightened and poisoned conditions.

Posted Apr 3, 2025Thank you for the feedback! I did not catch that when I made this. I'm hoping to come back to all my subclasses and update them for the 2024 PHB versions, and I will include a correction. Metamagic comes at level 2 in the new version, so that's a little better. I'll make it state that you get the free usage starting at level 1 and the sorcery point discount when the feature is available.

Posted Apr 2, 2025Level 1 Fey Trickery doesn’t work until 3rd Level because of the lack of the Metamagic Feature until then. Otherwise a great subclass.
