Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Your patron is a powerful being, one of the Animal Lords. You have bound yourself to The Cat Lord, Patron and Guardian of felines throughout the inner and outer planes.

Like your patron, you are expected to protect felines whenever and wherever others seek to drive them from their natural habitat, or endanger their welfare. Those who serve The Cat Lord can be quite fickle, pleasant and gentle with those who please them, only to lash out without a moments notice at the strangest of things.

Some view The Cat Lord as evil, others as good. Neither view is true, for the cat lord does not bother with the affairs of men.

Feline Presence

Starting at 1st level, your patron bestows upon you the warmth and beguiling presence of the feline. You have advantage on all Charisma and Wisdom checks pertaining to felines, and advantage on Charisma checks towards cat lovers, and those who are at least neutral towards cats. You can never be at disadvantage towards cat lovers when it comes to Charisma checks.

In addition, you can cast Speak with Animals at-will, but only if the target of the spell is feline. At 3rd level you can also cast Animal Messenger, with the same restrictions. In addition, you can cast both of these spells normally by using a spell slot; they do not count towards your known spells limit.

It never requires your full action to command or instruct felines or other summoned, controlled, or charmed cat-entities, a bonus action is always sufficient.

Cat-like Reflexes

Starting at 6th level your physical form starts to become more feline. Your ears might slowly start to point, your pupils might start to take on a more vibrant nature, or perhaps you start to grow a very soft, very fine layer of fur.

You gain the ability to add your charisma modifier to your initiative, and may use your reaction to reduce any falling damage you take by an amount equal to five times your warlock level.

Cats Paw

Starting at 10th level you learn the spell Arcane Hand, but your version appears as a giant cats paw. It counts as a warlock spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of spells you know. You can also cast it once without a spell slot, and you regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest.

Whenever you cast this spell, your patron's magic bolsters you, granting you advantage on all dexterity checks and saving throws for the duration. Moreover, damage can't break your concentration on this spell.

Nine Lives

Starting at 14th level, any time you are struck by an effect that would kill you you can instead negate the effect completely. You must decide to use this ability before the damage of the effect is determined, and if the effect turns out to have been insufficient to kill you, the ability has no effect and is consumed.

If you successfully use the ability, the effect that would kill you is completely negated by some miraculous means (up to the DM to decide) and the ability is consumed.

Once this feature is consumed you receive 1 level of exhaustion, and you can't use it again until you finish 1d4 long rests.
