Way of Kindred Spirits

Monks who study within the sacred grounds strive to become similar to those who can heal and support others. Typically, they become healers, doctors and field medics. But in the way of battle they utilise their skills to tether those around them to buff, heal and support their allies and use those tethers to also hinder their foes.

Kindred Spirit Link

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your training and spiritual energy allows you to tether yourself to an ally of your choice within 30ft of you the tether appears as a bright etheral beam only seen by you and the ally tethered, whilst you both remain in range you can pass on any benefit you receive to your ally once per turn. This tether lasts for 1 minute.

• When you receive healing, you can split half of your healing to your tether ally.
• When your tethered ally takes damage, you can choose to take half of the damage.
• You can give your ally advantage on an attack, saving throw or ability check, you gain disadvantage on whichever was taken next time you use this action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Spiritual Essence

At 6th level, you can use your ki to channel and replicate the following spells. As an action you can spend 2 ki points to cast Aid, Enhance Ability, Lesser Restoration or Spiritual Weapon, without providing material components. Additionally, you gain the Guidance cantrip if you don't already know it.

Phase Shifting

At 11th level, when an ally you are tethered to is targeted with an attack, you can switch places with them, and take the attack instead, you can spend a ki point to gain resistance to the incoming damge.

Additionally the number of allies you can be tethered to increases to 2, and the range of your tether increases to 60ft.

Enhanced Tether

At 17th level, the amount of allies that can be tethered to you increases to 3, and the range to 90ft. Whenever one of your tethered allies uses an action you can expend a ki point to have them use their action through you.
