Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Freedom at 3rd level, you gain expertise in Persuasion checks, and you have advantage when you make a persuasion check to persuade someone to not listen to what they were told.
Freeing Inspiration
Also at 3rd level, when you give a creature Bardic Inspiration, they can remove the charmed, frightened, restrained, grappled, stunned, paralyzed, and petrified conditions from themselves as a bonus action.
Song of Freedom
Starting at 6th level, as an action, you can begin playing a song to represent freedom. When you begin playing this song, all friendly creatures within 60ft of you, who can hear you gain the following benefits:
- They gain advantage on all Saving Throws.
- They become immune to psychic damage.
- They become immune to the Charmed, Deafened, Frightened, Grappled, Paralyzed, Petrified, Prone, Restrained, and Stunned conditions.
- They can attack one extra time when they take the attack action. This stacks with Extra Attack and Multiattack.
You must use your action every turn to continue playing. The song lasts until the beginning of your next turn. You can play the song for a total of 1 minute. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Switching Chains
Starting at 14th level, when a condition is removed from a creature by your Freeing Inspiration, the creature who caused the condition has to make a Wisdom saving throw against your Spell Save DC or gain the condition. If they gain a condition that requires a source, such as Charmed or Frightened, the creature who removed the condition becomes the source. For example, you give bardic inspiration to your Barbarian who is frightened by the dragon. On their turn, they remove the Frightened condition from themselves, causing the dragon to make a Wisdom saving throw. The dragon fails, and now the dragon is frightened by the Barbarian.
