Base Class: Artificer
A Weaponsmith is an artificer who has mastered the creation of powerful weapons and enchanting them to devastating effect. Weaponsmiths make the art of creating the perfect weapon their life's work, and are well adapted to magically improving any weapon they find.
Tools Proficiency
3rd-level Weaponsmith feature
You gain proficiency with martial weapons. You also gain proficiency with smith’s tools. If you already have this tool proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.
Weaponsmith Spells
3rd-level Weaponsmith feature
You always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Weaponsmith Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Arcane Weapon
3rd-level Weaponsmith feature
Your metallurgical pursuits have led to you making weapons a conduit for your magic. As an action, you can turn a weapon you are wielding into an Arcane Weapon.
You gain the following benefits while wielding this weapon:
- You become proficient with the arcane weapon.
- You can use the arcane weapon as a spellcasting focus for your artificer spells.
- You can perform the somatic components of spells even if you do not have a free hand (so long as at least one hand is being used to wield the arcane weapon).
-
You can use your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity modifier, for the attack and damage rolls using the arcane weapon.
Extra Attack
5th-level Weaponsmith feature
You can attack twice, rather than once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Weapon Infusions
3rd-level Weaponsmith feature
Your talent with imbuing weapons with magical powers gives you additional uses of Infuse Item. When you finish a long rest, you may Infuse a number of additional weapons with Infusions equal to your proficiency bonus. These additional infusions can only be used to infuse weapons.
Champion Artisan
9th-level Weaponsmith feature
You are a master in the art of making weapons. Attacks made with weapons you infuse will score a critical hit on a 19 or 20.
Perfectly in Tune
15th-level Weaponsmith feature
As a bonus action you can attune to a single magic item requiring attunement. If this would cause you to be attuned to more magic items than your limit, choose one magic item you are attuned to - you are no longer attuned to that item.
